At Plenary V of the 30th Nigerian Economic Summit, Elsie Attafuah, UNDP Resident Representative for Nigeria, delivered a powerful message on the urgency of meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with only 6 years left until 2030. She highlighted that 50% of the SDGs are stagnating, while the rest are retrogressing—stressing the need for collaborative action at all levels, especially at the subnational scale, to create impactful change. Now more than ever, it’s crucial to accelerate efforts and drive progress for a sustainable future. #NES30 #SDGs #RaceTo2030 #CollaborativeAction #GrowthandStability #Competitiveness

Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) reposted this
As part of our participation at the recently concluded 30th Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) , in Abuja, we collaborated with the NESG to organize an exclusive dinner session, themed "Rural Economy: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. With the intention to facilitate important conversation about a segment of Nigeria that is often overlooked, we invited leaders from the private sector, healthcare, education, former and serving heads of our security and intelligence agencies, and government officials at various levels, to candidly have solution-driven dialogue focused on three critical pillars: social services, security, and economy/job creation. Hosted by our Vice Chairman, Mr Farouk Gumel , tough questions were asked, and many hitherto obscure issues were brought to the fore including the need for an all-inclusive approach to engaging with, supporting and harnessing the potentials of the rural economy, through rural inclusion. It was also an opportunity to share TGI's foray into the Rural Communities where we operate, the successes we have achieved, the challenges, and the potentials that abound for strategic alliances.
