It’s Flashback Friday and we are excited about the journey so far of our Cohort 11 entrepreneurs. Sometime last month, they had an engaging and informative session on the crucial aspects of “Product Development for prototyping and Marketing Strategy” and the feedback was great. The session was facilitated by two of our faculty Olamide Michael Product Manager, Gamr Africa and Babayemi Olabisi -Product/project manager, Ojutu Inc. The entrepreneurs were able to understand the significance of prototyping in refining their products and services, as well as practical strategies for identifying and targeting their ideal customers, ultimately positioning their products for success in the market. We wish them the best as they continue in the journey. #orangecornersnigeria #FATEFoundation #entrepreneurjourney

Last Thursday, the OCN Cohort 10 entrepreneurs had a comprehensive demo pitch exercise to refine their pitching skills. This engaging session was a key component of our robust curriculum. The exercise had a panel of three esteemed jurors: Oluchi Johnson-Achibiri - Digital Product Manager, FATE Foundation. Cindy Kelechi Ezerioha - Head Learning and Influence, FATE Foundation and Banji Ajilore - Managing Partner Pinnacle Business Solutions. The jury provided constructive feedback and meticulously reviewed the entrepreneurs’ pitch documents, offering valuable insights and suggestions. Through this exercise, our entrepreneurs gained significant confidence and developed a deeper understanding of how to deliver a winning pitch. The simulation provided a supportive environment for them to hone their skills, receive expert guidance, and refine their presentation techniques. This demo pitch exercise was a resounding success and we look forward to seeing our entrepreneurs apply the learnings in future pitching opportunities. #orangecornersnigeria #entrepreneurship #skillup #innovation

Meet one of our Cohort 9 entrepreneurs, Jacob Abiodun, Founder/CEO, Coconoto, a revolutionary business transforming the coconut value chain.  The business is on a mission to tackle three pressing issues:  1. Technology for dehusking and deshelling 2. Accessibility to coconut produce, and  3. Sustainable waste management. Jacob expressed how being part of the Orange Corner Nigeria (OCN) program gave him the lift he needed in his business. According to him, the program provided invaluable teachings, mentorship, and above all, 5,000 Euros funding that catapulted Coconoto's growth. The program's impact was palpable, enabling Jacob to develop his minimum viable product (MVP) and bring his vision to life especially with the funding he got. What drives Jacob is the joy of seeing people's faces light up when they find solutions to their problems. This desire to make a lasting impact is rooted in his life philosophy: "The only legacy that is remembered for life is the impact that lives on forever." For Jacob, it's not just about building a business; it's about creating a lasting legacy that inspires and empowers others. Through his journey, Jacob has learned a valuable lesson: "You can't satisfy everyone, no matter what." This realisation has freed him to focus on his core vision, staying true to his values and passions, even in the face of adversity. We are happy to see the progress he is making on his entrepreneurial journey. Keep making impact. We are rooting for you. Enjoy the spotlight! #orangecornersnigeria #orangecorners #entrepreneurshipspotlight #sdgs
