    Pearl Uzokwe has been appointed as Africa Forward Programme Director at Catalyst 2030. Launched at the 2020 World Economic Forum in Davos, Catalyst 2030 is a social entrepreneur and innovator-led movement committed to achieving the UN’s SDG’s. Africa Forward Initiative was co-created by members of the African Chapters of Catalyst 2030 to support the next cohort of social entrepreneurs and innovators to achieve the UNs (SDGs) on the continent. She is a results-oriented and impact driven executive with 20+ years of global leadership and board membership experience from the Global North and South. She has demonstrated success in formulating and executing transformative strategies, driving social impact initiatives, fostering stakeholder engagement, cultivating partnerships, and shaping corporate sustainability strategies. She possesses extensive expertise in international development and corporate legal realms, operating seamlessly across diverse global contexts. She is previously served as the Director of the Sahara Foundation and former Director of Sustainability and Governance for Sahara Group. She currently sits on the board of the Malala Fubd and is also the Governance Committee Chair.     TEMPLARS is pleased to announce that, effective 1st May 2024, Emmanuel Gbahabo, CCEP-I will be re-joining the firm as a Partner in the Dispute Resolution practice and Head of the firm’s Investigations, White Collar, and Compliance Practice.   Emmanuel will be re-joining the firm after serving as Senior Legal Counsel in the Global Litigation team of multinational oil and gas company, Shell where he was responsible for strategy development and management of high-risk litigation, arbitration and contentious matters for all Shell companies in Nigeria and Southern Africa.   Emmanuel has over 30 years of diverse experience as a seasoned litigator and a trusted compliance and corporate counsel.   A Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional, he is highly regarded for his work in conducting or advising on some of the most sensitive corporate internal investigations that have occurred in the Nigerian market in the past twenty-five years. His practice in this area includes representing corporations, directors and officers as well as regulatory and public authorities in connection with white collar crime, asset tracing, governance and compliance matters.   He has a Master of Laws in Digital Law and Technology and very extensive experience of representing and counselling global technology and media companies in high stakes litigation relating to search engine liability, data protection and advertisement regulation, online defamation and intellectual property disputes.   According to Managing Partner, Oghogho Akpata: "I am very pleased to welcome Emmanuel back to TEMPLARS.
