On January 14, 2020, I wrote on my Instagram page, "I just launched my company." It was exciting; the congratulations poured in as they would after you read this post. As exciting as it was starting a business, no one prepared me for what was to come. No one told me getting my first few clients would be hard, even if I had a business set up to help others get clients. No one told me that it would be a lonely journey without proper guidance. No one prepared me for money loss. No one prepared me for the bad clients. No one taught me how to manage my emotions. I wasn't informed that I would have days where I would use my last money to buy data because I needed to be online. I didn't know employees would frustrate me to the extent that I would feel like exiting our company group. I didn't know so much, but I am grateful for all the things I wasn't prepared for and taught. Because, in the true sense, over the years, I have learned to be consistent, to be resilient, to never give up, to be loving and compassionate, to give to others without anything attached, to want to help others, to deliver excellence even if I am not being paid for it, to go over and beyond for my clients, to build a culture that supports growth, to see possibilities in impossible situations, to believe in myself, to trust God because he always comes through, and to stay true to my path because the blessing is just on its way. Pine Media has built me, molded me, and shaped me into being the woman I am today. The quest to solve a problem for myself led me to solving it for others. My passion brought me here. It has taken from me and has given to me. But I am privileged to be the steward of this great burden. Cheers to more years leading and guiding her to become all and more she can be.
