The Nigeria eGovernment Summit was a success as Wole Abu presented a Lead Paper on "People's Parliament: People's Expectations of a Technology Driven Society". Building people's expectations on a technology-driven society hinges on 5 key strategic frameworks: Technology, Education, Agriculture, Communication and Health (TEACH). Wole posited that to build an honourable, accountable, ethical and transparent people's parliament, we should invest in technology to ease government processes and curb corruption, promote digital literacy (education) to know how to use emerging technologies, foster collaboration between government, industries and the academia; encourage agricultural innovation, encourage people-oriented government skills acquisition programmes and integrate technology into government programmes especially in identity management, traffic control management, security management and most importantly health, as access to good healthcare is a fundamental human right to all. #WeAreLiquid #LiquidIntelligentTechnologies #LiquidNigeria #Technology #telecoms #africa #CloudMania #CassavaTechnologies #Sustainability #ESG #Egovernment

At the Hyperscalers Convergence Conference Africa, Wole Abu in a panel session emphasised the need for collaborations, investments, innovations, policies and a viable economic environment to build resilience in satellite, sub-sea and terrestial fibre connectivity. This always-on, digital form of transacting is the new face of financial services, bringing 24/7 banking amenities to the fingertips of users. But behind the convenience and accessibility lurks the very real danger of cyber breaches that could have devastating consequences. Banking apps are a small piece of a far larger puzzle. According to an IDC report, Africa’s financial sector accounts for 60% of all cyber-attacks, with a resultant $4 billion annual loss. Nigeria’s fintech sector hasn’t remained untouched, with reports of three organisations losing over N5 billion in early 2023 to hacking incidents, in what is just the tip of a cyber-attack iceberg.
