Recently, ICEE.Space joined the Aerospace Innovation Hub, operating from the new test site at The Terminal and opened a seed round! This strategic move allows to become the first analogue test site in the Netherlands, enable student opportunities and collaborate actively with the TU Delft. ICEE.Space is an innovative startup from the ESA Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC CZ), specializing in analog astronaut missions to simulate and prepare for lunar and martian space expeditions. The company conducts research in extreme terrestrial environments, such as inactive lava tunnels, to develop inflatable habitats, space suits and technologies essential for sustaining human life on other planets. This move has been made possible thanks to the Establishment Voucher offered under the ‘Kansen voor West’ programme. The voucher provides financial support for SMEs looking to establish themselves in one of the field labs or innovation clusters located at the TU Delft Campus. 🚀 Airbus Q&A at the Aerospace Innovation Hub! 🎤 Last Friday, Airbus hosted the very first Airbus Live Q&A at the Aerospace Innovation Hub, featuring Rik-Jan Lemmen, Principal Engineer Fatigue and Damage Tolerance at Airbus Hamburg and a TU Delft alumnus. This session was a unique opportunity for students to speak directly with an Airbus expert and gain firsthand insights into the aerospace industry. The Aerospace students had the chance to ask Rik-Jan anything about Airbus, his career path, and valuable tips for their own journey in aerospace. It was an insightful and inspiring session! A big thank you to Rik-Jan for sharing his knowledge and experiences! ✈️✨ As the Aerospace Innovation Hub, we're very happy that Airbus is part of our community and also located within the Innovation Hub. This gives Airbus the chance to have firsthand connections with talented students and to be an active part of the innovative ecosystem at TU Delft. Voucher brings Aerohauler to Delft!✈️✨ Although they have been with us for a few months already, we have enjoyed welcoming Aerohauler to the Aerospace Innovation Hub! They moved into an office at the Hub and they joined our community full of innovative companies like them! 👥 Aerohauler is dedicated to driving the evolution of air freight, offering advanced, environmental friendly aircraft that lead the way in efficient global freight transport. They are already well integrated into the Dutch ecosystem, with Karel Bockstael among others as an advisor. Exciting times at Delft Career Days 2025! Accompanied by ParaPy and Eddytec, we had a great time meeting the innovators of the future! Surrounded by exciting presentations and booths swarming with interest, it was an event packed with energy and a keen sense of optimism for the future. We are also proud to see other community members; Elysian Aircraft, Fiducial, Qlayers , and VÆRIDION making the most of being at the TU Delft and reaching out to talent! From those keen to develop their own out-of-the-box ideas through the Start-Up Voucher Program, to those searching for internship or job roles within our community, it was a pleasure to connect with the ambitious students of TU Delft and afar.
