The keynote speaker of the first conference day is Dr. Kengo Suzuki from 株式会社ユーグレナ - Euglena Co., Ltd., Japan, with his presentation on "Research and Development of Microalgae Euglena and its Social Implementation." About Dr. Kengo Suzuki: Educational Background: ✅ Ph.D. in Medical Science (Kitasato University, 2019) ✅ Ph.D. in Agriculture (University of Tokyo, 2016) Professional Achievements: ✅ Co-founder of Euglena Co., Ltd., and pioneer in developing large-scale cultivation methods for Euglena, a microalgae with promising applications across biofuels, nutrition, and pharmaceuticals. ✅ Team Leader at RIKEN, Yokohama, Japan, where he leads the Microalgae Production Technology Laboratory. ✅ Appointed Professor at Tohoku University and Visiting Professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, furthering collaborations and advancements in microalgae research. 📣 The AlgaEurope 2024 Program is now LIVE! After reviewing nearly 300 abstracts, the Conference Committee has curated an extensive program for AlgaEurope 2024, set to take place from 10 – 13 December in Athens, Greece. From 10 – 12 December the conference will be held in the Divani Caravel Hotel. Expect a packed agenda, including keynotes from algae experts, plenary presentations, a trade show, and over 150 poster presentations! On 13 December, we move to the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos" for a unique experience, featuring plenary sessions, a roundtable discussion, and two site visits - to Solmeyea and Plankton First. Plus, the organizers, EABA - European Algae Biomass Association and DLG Benelux, have planned a vibrant social program!
