Over ons

Amsterdam University Press (AUP) was founded in 1992 by the University of Amsterdam. This young, rapidly growing publishing house boasts a backlist of more than 1600 English and Dutch language titles and publishes more than 80 new academic monographs, 15 scientific journals and 15 textbooks each year. The subjects covered range from European History, to Asian Studies, Media & Communication, and Linguistics. AUP publications appear both in print and e-Book formats and are sold worldwide through an extensive international distribution network. AUP also works closely with partners such as the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences (KNAW ), the EYE Film Institute and the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS). In addition, AUP offers a range of production services, such as mediating printing and typesetting for scientific institutions and individual scientists.
