All the items in the collection are made with Zeology leather. Chrome free, aldehyde free and heavy metal free. For both Nera and Alpha96, sustainability is of the utmost importance. There are 6 common steps in tanning leather: 1️⃣ Soaking 2️⃣ Liming 3️⃣ De-liming 4️⃣ Bating 5️⃣ Pickling 6️⃣ Tanning Depending on the type of hide and intent of usage, these steps may vary. Once a hide or pelt has been tanned, it is considered leather. It is however not yet ready to be used for the production of leather items. For that, it needs additional treatment.
