All the heavy lift vessels are equipped with their own gear with lifting capacities up to 2,200 mt and some have a ro-ro capability for loads up to 2,500 mt. On September 18th and 19th, after two years of meticulous planning, DB SCHENKER Global Projects and Industry Solutions, USA, successfully executed its heaviest load to date. Two massive reactor vessels for an energy industry leader were safely loaded onto BigLift Shipping’s m/v Happy Sky at the Port of Porto Marghera, Italy. These colossal reactors, each measuring 4367 x 672 x 710 cm and weighing an incredible 1,346 metric ton, are now enroute to the Port of New Orleans, USA.
