At bloomon, we believe that flowers have the power to connect and uplift, especially during this time of year. This holiday season, we had the privilege of giving back in a meaningful way by helping create beautiful Christmas arrangements for five local nursing homes. ✂️ 🎄 Together with a wonderful group of colleagues, we brought the holiday cheer to residents by crafting custom-made flower arrangements that added warmth and colour. It's a small gesture, but one that brought smiles, brightened rooms, and spread the holiday spirit. We’re grateful to have been part of something so special and meaningful. Thanks Amstelring, Kloek Wonen met Zorg and Domus Valuas for having us! 💐 💫

The holiday season is a festive one, but can also be a challenging time for some people. With Christmas approaching, we are proud to be partnered with the Dutch Stichting Nationaal Ouderenfonds and Belgian PSC Antwerpen vzw, which are committed to fighting loneliness among the elderly, among other things. With every purchase of our Christmas trees, we donate € 2 to both charities. 🌲 And to spread even more Christmas wishes, we take part in the Great Christmas Cards campaign of Nationaal Ouderenfonds. Together with our colleagues, we wrote dozens of Christmas cards to send warm Christmas wishes to as many elderly people as possible. 💌 Merry Christmas!

Celebrating 10 years of bloomon! Last week, our warehouse in Amstelveen was transformed into an incredible event space for our teams to get together and toast 10 years of bloomon 🌸 A day and evening filled with activities like a quiz, inspiring talk, dinner, dancing, live band and a photo booth! Thank you team bloomon for coming together to honour a decade of our beautiful business, and the close (almost!) of another brilliant year - the energy (as always!) was amazing ✨

Recently we joined the Net Zero Festival from #BusinessGreen in London, where our Director of Sustainability Sibbe Krol talked about engaging the supply chain in sustainable transformations and green contracting, but also how we integrate carbon budgets into our product design, treating them as seriously as financial budgets. It was great to be a part of the conversation at #Floriforum as well briefly after, where we see more and more momentum to change the sector for the better, building on all of the good work that is in progress! We are not there yet, but we are rapidly on our way to Net Zero! 🚀

For years, companies like Butternut Box | B Corp have been sending our signature bouquets to their clients or partners. 💐 "At Butternut Box, we know that when a customer's dog passes away they have lost a family member and an incredibly important part of their life. To send our love and support at this difficult time we send them a bouquet of beautiful flowers from bloomon. Customers are always surprised, moved and incredibly grateful for this gesture and it's a very special thing for the team to do and something that speaks to our values as a company." The past few years we have been on a great sustainability journey with a lot of highlights and we are on our way to Net Zero. 🚀 Above all, tackling climate issues involves more than just reducing carbon emissions. That's why we're doing a lot to become an even more sustainable business. For instance: - Our production site runs on 100% green energy 🌿 - We buy directly from growers to guarantee freshness and minimize waste 🌻 - We test flowers for banned plant protection products 🐝 - Our organic bouquet is certified organic 💐 But our commitment goes beyond emission reduction alone, and this is what our CEO Aron Gelbard and Director of Sustainability Sibbe Krol spoke to Het Financieele Dagblad about. To celebrate our 10th anniversary, our talented brand designer Sophie Phoelich designed a limited edition ceramic vase. 🏺 Sophie: "bloomon was born in the fall, so we wanted to embrace this feeling by using a mix of warm and festive colour, and, of course, bold shapes and floral elements cannot be missed during this celebration.
