Over ons
We are BlueAlp, a fast-growing scale-up whose purpose is to give all plastic waste a potentially infinite life. As a world, we need plastic to help us feed, house and care for each other. At the same time, we clearly need to solve the challenges that come with it. BlueAlp Technology contributes to both. BlueAlp Technology has been developed to give all plastic waste a potentially infinite life as a new feedstock for future plastics and chemicals. And it creates an economic case in support of plastic circularity and decarbonization. Going forward, our vision and mission are to enable the entire value chain to work together on transforming plastic waste into new sustainable feedstock by considering recycling, sustainability and circularity at every stage of the product lifecycle. At our headquarters in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, we are always looking for talented and idealistic people who will help us in our mission to scale up our technology, grow our business and through this, accelerate plastic recycling worldwide. Last week, over 170 countries gathered in Busan, South Korea, for the final round of the United Nations Plastics Treaty negotiations, which have been in development since 2022. The aim? To combat the global plastic waste crisis and reduce pollution harming our ecosystems. While no conclusive agreements were reached at this final session, the world remains hopeful that the extended sessions, set to take place in 2025, will bring actionable solutions. Key topics of discussions and differences included: 🔹 Capping plastic production to limit the proliferation of plastic waste 🔹 Managing plastic products and harmful chemicals 🔹 Providing financing support for developing nations to implement the treaty At BlueAlp, we are deeply committed to accelerating plastic recycling by converting hard-to-recycle plastics into valuable feedstocks and advocating for urgent, collective action to tackle this global crisis. The time to build a sustainable, circular economy is now. Let’s unite for a cleaner, better, and greener future. Want to know more about what BlueAlp is doing to make plastics circular? Ending an exciting week where our CEO @Valentijn de Neve moderated a panel discussion and presented at #ERTC24 in Lisbon. Last three days, over 800 leaders together explored how plastic recycling can drive a sustainable future for refiners. World Refining Association
I am just on the way back from the #ERTC24. What an experience, fantastic to see over 800 people discuss how plastic recycling can be one of the growth options for refiners! I really enjoyed moderating the panel on navigating the challenges in achieving circular products with Alexander Struck (BAYERNOIL Raffineriegesellschaft mbH), Renata Viggiano (Eni) and Stefan Pirker (OMV), on the first day. During my presentation on the second day, it was promising to see how many refiners see a key role for themselves in repurposing their refineries and investing in recycling plastics. All in all, a hopeful outlook for the industry. Looking forward to seeing the progress in sustainable initiatives next year! Thank you Sandil Sanmugam for the impeccable organization.
