Why are founders flocking to venture studios? 🧲 It's not the capital – there are many avenues to raise cash. It's the increased likelihood of success. Let me explain. Angels, VCs, Accelerators, Incubators, potato..., potato... . They all play the law of large numbers: Only 2-3 out of 50 investments need to explode, and they have made good on all of their investments. They don't (need to) care about any individual startup 🥲 Not studios. Builders for instance can only support 12 founders per year. So we have to make sure that both the founders and ventures are stellar. We *need* at least 4 of those 12 to succeed. Which is why we get in the trenches with you, ideating, validating, building. Making sure that what we are building is the right thing, with the right people Your success is our success. It feels more balanced that way, and founders agree ⚖️ Stay tuned for part 2

Building a venture is hard enough. As a founder, you can use all the help you can get! Unless you've made bank from a previous exit or have a crazy low burn rate, chances are you cannot bootstrap. So you resort to usual suspects: Angels, VCs, Accelerators, Incubators, ... –  But, more and more, founders are playing with the new kid on the playground: the Venture Studio. I know what you're thinking: "Potato, potato. It's all capital innit?" Well... not quite. Despite similarities, the studio model is a different beast altogether. 👋 Meet Marco Marco joined Builders in July as CTO in Residence. Now, he's teamed up with Alisher as CTO & co-founder at Avery. They’re all about speeding up the hiring process with a dash of magic. The key ingredient? Data, of course! Avery allows hiring teams to create smart job profiles, automate candidate matching, and generate key hiring tools such as rubrics and interviewing questions. Marco Dubbeld is a seasoned technology leader with over 30 years of software development experience, specializing in innovative compliance solutions for financial institutions. Throughout his career, Marco has also demonstrated strong entrepreneurial skills, founding and leading several companies. His deep understanding of both technology and regulatory landscapes has driven the creation of innovative products that address real-world challenges, solidifying his reputation as an expert in the field. Welcome aboard, Marco! We're super excited about what's ahead for Avery 🤩.

🐶 Meet Channy We are excited to have Channy joining our Builders team as Pawject Manager Channy is originally from a small city called Masan, South Korea. He and his brother were brought to a shelter at a young age (though we’re not sure of the exact age) and spent 2-3 years in a small cage before being rescued by his loving sister. Once on the euthanasia list, Channy's journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster, but today, he’s a proud "Dutch dog," living his best life in the Netherlands. His mission at Builders? To ensure every colleague gets a daily dose of love and affection. He’s a natural at bringing people together and truly enjoys being part of the Builders team. We’re so happy to have you with us, Channy ❤️

Everday, a Rotterdam-based technology startup specialising in an AI-driven skill management platform, has secured €300K in its pre-seed funding round. 🚀 The investment came from Builders Studio, a startup studio focused on SaaS companies.
