This past June, a group of exceptional Catawikians were honored with the opportunity to attend the European Women in Tech 2024 Conference, recognizing their significant impact over the past year. The conference was a treasure trove of insights, and we were excited to host two panels where we got to hear a few highlights from the inspiring workshop they attended. In the first panel, Janet Baireva(Vice President of Product) and Efi Giannetopoulou (Project Manager, Sales Operations) shared their key takeaways on topics such as driving smart tech and human decision-making, as well as strategies to boost the representation of migrant women in tech. In the second panel, Iryna Horova (Manager of Data Science Insights - Product) and Maria Dinca (Senior Product Manager - Search & Discovery) discussed the importance of context in machine learning, building authentic team dynamics, and the mindful use of large language models like ChatGPT. They also highlighted the role of play in fostering workplace innovation, effective communication, curiosity, and sustainable AI practices.
