    Many people believe that the charging journey begins when drivers arrive at a charging station. In reality, it starts much earlier—during the decision-making stage when drivers are planning their routes and considering their options. This is where CPOs face competition. This is where money is made and lost. There are 3 stages every EV driver goes through before they even reach your station: 1. Worry • Will I make it there? • Where should I charge? • Can I pay at these stations? • How much will this cost? • Will the chargers even work? 2. Plan • Open multiple apps to locate stations. • Order (too many) charge cards. • Compare prices. • Export to mapping applications. • Cross-check for nearby amenities. 3. Drive & Charge • Constantly re-check the route. • Manage SoC anxiety. • Sometimes arrive at a broken charger. • Charger busy. • Payment not supported. Like any product or service, you must meet customers when they are in pain and looking for solutions. You need to connect with drivers when they're planning their trips. Route planners are not app features. They are the essential search engines drivers use to find and evaluate charging options. You can either give drivers tools to find your stations or hope they won't end up at competitors. More charges alone won't solve these challenges. To win, you have to meet drivers when they're planning their journey. CPOs who understand this will lead the market, while those who do not will lag behind.

    I'm thrilled to announce that Ashley Horvat has joined the board at Chargetrip. Ashley has been deeply involved in transport electrification across the US since the early days. Having served in executive roles in e-mobility for startups, government, and corporates, few people know e-mobility with as much depth and breadth. On a personal note, engaging with Ashley has been a true privilege. Our conversations have already provided invaluable insights, and I look forward to leveraging her expertise as we strategically advance Chargetrip to the next growth phase.     Now in its fourth year, our corporate retreat has become a tradition at Chargetrip This year was our biggest and best retreat—a time to strategize, connect, and reflect. We always prioritize talent over location. With colleagues spread across the globe, in-person meetings are rare but essential for us to collaborate effectively. Without face-to-face interactions, our productivity and company culture just wouldn't be the same. Here's a quick look at how our retreats have evolved over the years: 2021: Moving to an API-based model 2022: Finding our product-market fit 2023: Becoming enterprise-ready 2024: Scaling our product portfolio and geographies This year's corporate retreat focused on maximizing the potential of our existing product portfolio across more regions and verticals. With a strong product-market fit and a solid market share in Europe, our next challenge is scaling up. How can we deliver even more value to our customers and expand into new markets? Next to several incredible presentations by our leadership team, we spent this time together to refresh our team on our mission and code of conduct and enjoyed lots of outdoor activities. We also held a company pitch competition focused on our 12-month objectives—some of these ideas will make their way to production soon. Looking back at our first retreat, which brought together just 20 people, it's clear how far we've come. This year has been our most successful to date, both from a commercial and people perspective. Our team has grown in size and strength, with new and diverse perspectives driving us forward, but the team feels as focused and determined as ever. I'm continually grateful to work with such intelligent, talented people who continue to work with us on this mission. Over the coming months, we will further strengthen our leadership with several key hires and launch a new website and brand language that looks awesome. Keep an eye out!

It’s the big event of the year where we reunited, reflected on last year’s stories, created new ones, and identified next steps to drive Chargetrip forward. We came together for some well-deserved recharge time — canyoning, spa, and good food. (And our international teams got to say goodbye to Google Meet for three straight days.) Till next year! 🌍

    Greetings from Prades! 🏞️ We're on day two of our fourth annual corporate retreat. With 17 nationalities across 5 locations, it’s important for our team to reunite and spend quality time together. We use these days to plan our strategy for the upcoming year and create stronger connections. This retreat we kicked it off with several inspiring presentations on our technology, sales strategy, and product innovation. Then we jumped into a murder mystery game and, of course, capped it off with a proper fiesta. It’s been a mix of work, sports, and plenty of laughs as we gear up for another exciting year ahead.
