🌍 Reflecting on an Incredible Experience at The International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS) 2024! Last week, Conscious Aerospace had the pleasure of presenting our Hydrogen-Electric Retrofit project at #ICAS2024 in Florence, Italy. 🚀 With over 650 participants and 17 parallel sessions, the event was filled with forward-thinking discussions on the future of aerospace. Bartjan Rietdijk’s presentation drew a diverse audience of around 40 attendees, including both industry professionals and members of academia. The level of engagement in the room reflected the growing interest in hydrogen-electric technology, and it was truly inspiring to be part of a conversation focused on making aviation more sustainable. 🛫 Beyond the presentation, Bartjan gained valuable insights during the post-conference reflection session, where key takeaways from the event were discussed, particularly around advancements in fuel cell technology and the evolving regulatory standards shaping the future of aviation. It was inspiring to see how different sectors within the industry are aligned in their push toward sustainable aviation. The energy in the room was palpable, with a shared optimism about overcoming the challenges ahead and making real progress toward zero-emission flight. The event was not only about presenting but also about learning from a diverse range of approaches and developments within the industry. For over a year, Conscious Aerospace and its consortium has progressed with our #HAPSS proposition in creating an architectural design for a Hydrogen-Electric Retrofit of the De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited Dash 8-300 aircraft. De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited’s legacy in the aviation industry is unmatched, with the Dash 8 family setting the standard for regional turboprops for over four decades. Their new production facilities near Calgary and commitment to innovation ensure they’re ready to meet the future demands of global operators. Brian Chafe, CEO of De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited, shared: “We are pleased to be working with Conscious Aerospace on this exciting project.
