My work involves frequent travel. Now I have taken back some interesting insights from the Netherlands. 💥 I attended the Kickstart Europe Conference in Amsterdam. Trends and investments in IT infrastructure were discussed. And of course we have something to say about that. I was particularly interested in the debate of data center leaders about the role of the European Union. According to all of the participants, we in Europe should build data centres more economically, faster and cheaper, because we are missing the train globally behind the US and Asia. Unless we change things quickly and deregulate the data center industry, we will price ourselves out from the global markets. The Noord West hospital at Alkmaar is a complete new building with room for the latest medical applications.🤩 We as CONTEG Benelux focused on the lay-out of ten different data rooms spread across multiple floors in the new hospital. Starting with the cabinets, cable management and in-row cooling units which must be aligned with the requested specifications. The biggest challenge was the consideration in finding the best way for cooling. After focused meetings with the customer, our specialists came to the conclusion that cooling with cold water was the best suitable solution for this project.
