#ClientCaseStudy: From Sweden To Czechia With Success 🌟 BJS is one of CTP's longest-standing clients in our very first park, CTPark Humpolec. 19 years down the road together, we're thrilled to still be helping them grow. Founded in the small town Smålandsstenar in Sweden way back in 1917, BJS has become a global producer of furniture parts. 🪑🌍 In 2005, they moved the company's operations abroad for the first time.🚀 Czechia fulfilled all their requirements to make this strategic expansion step: workforce, infrastructure, competitive operational costs, smart proximity and a healthy and growing domestic economy. CTP was able to help tie together the region's advantages in a sleek real estate solution with a smart local team so they could hit the ground running smoothly. They moved into CTP's very first park, CTPark Humplolec, located on the E50 motorway halfway between Czechia two largest cities — Prague and Brno.🛣️ Today they are one of Czechia's largest producers of furniture and a major supplier for IKEA. Pär Lidåker, CEO of BJS, explains: 💬 “We wanted to be able to focus on our core business and not lose sleep over the development of the project. The whole idea of expansion was for BJS to get ‘lean and mean. All of the other properties we looked at were ugly, but at CTPark Humpolec, we found the right place. Location directly on the motorway is also, of course, an advantage.” Since moving it, it has been smooth sailing for BJS and they had several expansions with us at this location — first in 2014, then 2016, and most recently in 2023. Today, they 37,000 sqm of space with us. Straight from the #Parkmakers! 📢 Timo Hielscher, Managing Director M&A CTP Deutschland tell us about one of his favourite most recent highlights: our new with Quanta Computers, and why it's kind of a big deal... Headquartered in Taiwan, Quanta is a Fortune Global 500 company that manufactures computers and electronic hardware and they are on mission to expand their production in Europe closer to their final market. ⬇️ They chose to launch this project with us at CTPark Jülich, in Northwestern Germany close the Belgian and Dutch borders, where we are currently building them a bespoke, custom 22,500 sqm facility which will be ready next summer. CTP will invest €45 million to develop the project delivering an array of unique requirements, 🧩 like a product testing lab and airlocked spaces. Sunday, September 8th was not a day not for the faint-hearted! It was #DoksyRace 2024 and it was it #fullspeed to say the least... 🚀 CTP is proud to co-host this tradition and the #RealEstateCup every year at Machova Lake. Participating racers are called to test themselves in a half Ironman race consisting of 1.9km swimming🏊♂️, 90km biking🚵♂️, and 21.1km running🏃. Competitors pushed their limits as solo warriors or as part of a relay team. A nice Friday announcement: CTP's Morningstar Sustainalytics score improves 🎉 This improvement was driven by an increased score in the Risk Management category. The assessment highlights our “very strong” performance in #ESG reporting and our overall sustainability policies, including appointing a management committee to oversee ESG issues and explicitly tying executive compensation to achieving ESG performance targets. 🎯 With these strong frameworks in place, we well equipped to make to make further improvements across all three ESG tiers to help not just us — but our clients and the communities where we operate. Things are moving and CTP, as a leading provider of space in Europe, is at the heat of the action... 🏁 This week, the Czech Economic and Cultural Office, in collaboration with CzechInvest, is hosting a delegation of prominent Czech industry leaders in Taipei including Czechia's Junior Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Petr Očko, and Czech experts from high-tech companies and research institutions. The visit aims to engage with Asian semiconductor stakeholders, exploring opportunities for integrating their production into the region. 🔭 Jaromir Cernik and Ronald Law, who lead our CTP Asia office, are engaging in the event, and talking about our solutions for industrial and technology parks. 📰 The Financial Times asks if CEE is the 21st centruy 'made in Europe' hub, and CTP provides five reasons why the answer is a very solid YES. Here's how they open the article: "The Central and Eastern Europe region (CEE) is primed for growth. Real GDP growth, a key indicator that shows increased spending, improved employment and an economy on the rise, is predicted by the International Monetary Fund to be higher in the CEE than the average for G7 countries in 2027. Global professional services company PwC describe the region as an “interesting and attractive place for investors, in comparison both with Western Europe or with emerging economies in less stable and developed regions” while Oxford Economics data puts the three fastest-growing EU cities with a population over one million as Belgrade, Prague and Warsaw, all in the CEE. ... Industrial production in 2024 is predicted by Oxford Economics to be 40% above 2019 levels in Poland with other CEE countries seeing expanded volumes of 20%+. In Hungary, the government has set a target of increasing the share of manufacturing in GDP to 30% by 2030, in turn driving demand for increased industrial and logistics space."
