3D concrete printing this 3,200 square-foot home resulted in below average results… For selling price, which is estimated at 15% below market comparables! Our partner Hive3D Builders, leveraging our technology to create affordable housing, has completed the printing of another house in Red Rock, Texas! The home, spanning 3,200 square feet, features 4 bedrooms and complies with passive house energy standards. Congratulations to Timothy Lankau for another successful print! Hive 3D Builders, which completed their first affordable housing project with the CyBe RC in 2023, has since invested in three more CyBe printers. We completed Europe’s first commercially 3D printed building over five years ago. And with over a decade of 3DCP experience, this wasn’t even the first building we printed! Using the CyBe RC, we printed ‘De Vergaderfabriek,’ which translates to the Meeting Factory, as Europe’s first commercially 3D printed building. The walls of this iconic building were printed on-site in just 10 days, reducing CO2 emissions and waste by 40% and 70%, respectively, compared to traditional methods. Even today, five years after completing the project, it continues to receive media attention, highlighting its innovative approach and lasting impact on sustainable construction practices. Australia's Keegan Palmer took gold in the Paris Olympics’ Men’s Skateboard Park Finals. Do you think he practiced in New Zealand’s 3D printed skatepark, featuring the world’s largest 3D printed skateable sculpture “The Wave”? The newly opened “Destination Skatepark” showcases yet another innovative application of 3D concrete printing. The park features various skateable 3D printed elements, all built by our partner QOROX. Among the 3D printed features are quarterpipes, ledges, and supports, as well as “The Wave”: the world’s largest 3D printed skateable sculpture at 12 meters long and 3 meters high (featured in image). Another successful print… Let’s paint the town red! Our partners at Hive3D Builders keep building taller and taller, only this time with a dash of color! We caught them red-handed printing a wall element that is soon to be a home’s hallway. The team was already creating aesthetically pleasing, uniquely shaped structures, but they’re now taking it one step further by printing with colored dye. And I guess we can say they passed with flying colors! Hive3D Builders, using our 3D printing technology, are creating affordable housing solutions in Texas. Not long ago, they finished an 800-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bathroom home at a disruptively low price point of $106/sqf (€1030/m²). Having completed numerous successful projects, they’re now scaling up from their first CyBe printer to multiple units.
