Smooth docking for ships of any size.   DMC’s four innovative docking winches, each with a 40-tonne pulling force, are installed in dock 7 at Damen Verolme. Two winches pull the ship in, while the other two regulate speed and position with precise counterweight, preventing sideways veering or rapid floating.   As the counterweight winches release their cables, energy is recovered and reused by the pulling winches.   A centralised computer system controls the winches, enabling seamless manoeuvring of vessels of all shapes and sizes.
