Over ons

Our vision: “To redefine our sport through cooperation and innovation: Keep Challenging.” All of us face challenges in our daily lives - big and small. All of us are continually challenged by those around us - our colleagues, friends or families. Like no other we at Team dsm-firmenich PostNL face challenges each and every day, big ones and small ones, by all members of the team. That one important race or coming back from injury… requiring hours and hours of blood, sweat and tears. Be it our scientists creating intelligent performance plans or working on complicated R&D projects, our logistical nightmares of up to five programs racing at different places in the world, or building our own campus and headquarters…We always Keep Challenging. Keep Challenging is about pursuing dreams and not accepting the status quo. We need to be the world champions of team work, of pushing the boundaries of science and technology to make our gear faster, calculations more accurate, training more effective and nutrition more optimal. It’s this vision, the plan and an incredible group of people that help us continue to build a sustainable future for our team, while performing at the top of our capabilities, on and off the bike. ONE TEAM Our WorldTour Men program, WorldTour Women program and a Development program all operate under the same umbrella. We are one collective, all using the same Keep Challenging approach, together under one name and one distinctive two-striped kit: Team dsm-firmenich PostNL. • Team dsm-firmenich PostNL claim overall GC crown in Langkawi with Max Poole After strong riding throughout the week and building off the back of their stage three success, today Team dsm-firmenich PostNL could take home the overall GC title at Le Tour de Langkawi with Max Poole. Having collected bonus seconds in earlier stages, the team and Poole went into the final day of racing with 13 of an advantage over their nearest rivals. Navigating the sprint stage well, Team dsm-firmenich PostNL helped to control the race with a dual goal of setting up finisher Casper van Uden for the finale, and keeping Poole safe; not allowing their GC opposition to take enough time back to trouble the top of the standings. In the finale, Casper got a bit boxed in and couldn’t get a clear run to the finish, leading us home just outside of the Top 10 of the day. Coming across the line in Bintulu, Poole and Team dsm-firmenich PostNL could celebrate a great GC victory. It’s the young talent’s, who came through the team’s highly successful Development program, first overall title. With Poole’s victory it means 18 professional wins have been taken by graduates from that program in 2024; something that Team dsm-firmenich PostNL is incredibly proud of. 🇬🇧🔗 https://lnkd.in/eYc8ket9 🇳🇱🔗 https://lnkd.in/epjt6TmQ

Team dsm-firmenich PostNL attacked the queen stage at CRO Race with a plan to bring fifth-on-GC Lund Andresen into a position to fight for the stage win. However, between them and that goal was the challenging Poklon ascent, where a strong tempo was set by the climbers. The team made sure they were represented in the front with Warren Barguil who covered the moves, while the rest of the team rode at a tempo Lund Andresen was comfortable with. Once over the top, a fierce chase ensued and everyone did their role expertly to bring Lund Andresen back; meaning the team had five riders left in the reduced peloton of around 30. In the final the team controlled late attacks, before positioning Lund Andresen at the front for the punchy cobbled climb to the line. Measuring his effort perfectly, Lund Andresen surged past his competitors in the closing 50 metres, shouting with delight as he crossed the line. Doing so, he could celebrate what is the Men’s program’s 21st win of the season, and the 17th to come from a Development program rider - an incredible achievement. 🇬🇧🔗https://lnkd.in/emM2-7-g 🇳🇱🔗https://lnkd.in/ea-5ehZH #KeepChallenging #CROrace

  • 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐝𝐬𝐦-𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐍𝐋 𝐌𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐱 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐰𝐢 Team dsm-firmenich PostNL got the month of October underway in perfect fashion, with Max Poole powering to a reduced group sprint win in the queen stage of Le Tour de Langkawi; their Men’s program’s 20th win of the season. After promising rides in the opening two sprint stages, the third day of action in Langkawi was one for the climbers, and a day where Team dsm-firmenich PostNL set out their stall to support Max Poole as finisher. A cohesive team effort from everyone saw Poole always well positioned and the team came over the long but steady main climb of the day in a good way and with numbers. Heading onto the second shorter but slightly harder ascent, the team set a good early pace before other squads took over. The strong tempo remained and on the steepest gradients inside the last kilometre Poole attacked, dragging clear a group of three. They were brought back on the rolling descent, but Poole remained calm and kept a cool-head, positioning himself for the sprint to the line. Smartly using the downhill section to get momentum, he kicked early and surged past the group, holding on to raise his arms aloft as he crossed the line; celebrating his first pro win. It’s a special occasion for Team dsm-firmenich PostNL who have taken 16 professional wins with riders promoted from their highly successful Development program in 2024 alone. 🇬🇧🔗https://lnkd.in/exWszT3q 🇳🇱🔗https://lnkd.in/e7rGer4B #KeepChallenging #LTdL2024

  • When exercising at high intensities, the body prioritises blood flow to the muscles, heart and lungs and reduces blood flow and oxygen supply to the stomach and intestines, potentially causing digestive issues like stomach discomfort or cramps. That's why we work closely with dsm-firmenich and their up4 nutrition range which features innovative ingredients such as HiMO, that our riders use throughout the year. Gastrointestinal problems are a major cause of non-completion in endurance races. Proper management, such as a healthy microbiome, is essential to minimise gastrointestinal distress during strenuous exercise. While exercise is essential for overall health, excessive or intense physical activity, such as prolonged cycling particularly at high temperatures, can negatively affect gut health through increased gut permeability, altered microbiota and digestive issues. All of this exceptional science then helps to keep our riders going and performing to their best for longer. 👇 Team dsm-firmenich PostNL Kinderpostzegels Jeugdeducatiefonds #bijzonderemomenten #keepchallenging
