Here are some key highlights: 📈 The Netherlands emerging as a global EdTech innovation hub: Dutch startups are making significant strides, positioning the Netherlands as a key player in the global EdTech ecosystem. 📈 Significant growth in the Dutch EdTech sector: Increases in the number of companies, total market value, and full-time employment show the sector’s strong upward trajectory. 💪 📈 Modest investment levels: While the Netherlands ranks 5th in Europe for EdTech investment, most funding remains relatively small, posing challenges for scaling and long-term growth. 🚀 What an inspiring day we've had at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) GenAI event for EdTech companies! 🎉 🌟 We kicked things off with an insightful keynote from Leo Zhadanovsky, who shared his perspective on the impact of generative AI in the education sector —lots of exciting possibilities for the future! 💼 Next up was an enlightening presentation by our very own Dutch EdTech member Mysoly E-Learn BV, showcasing how their product SURMS harnesses GenAI. They also touched on some of the challenges, like the reliability of results —which gave us plenty to think about! 🖥️ AWS then took the stage to discuss the importance of data strategy—data lakes, governance, skillsets. Key takeaway? Don’t forget the bigger picture! 💬 The discussions continued in two separate tracks, with a deep dive into Developing an AI Strategy for business—exploring the policies needed for implementing AI safely and responsibly. 🤖 Taskbase also gave a fascinating presentation on their AI agents, offering fresh ideas for using AI in education. 🌟 How lovely to host the European Edtech Alliance at the Dutch Edtech Summit: Future of Learning! 🚀 At our Dutch Edtech Summit on October 4th, we had the privilege of hosting esteemed members of the European EdTech Alliance for their annual general meeting. Here are some of the highlights! 🌐 We welcomed representatives from 10 countries, along with additional members tuning in online 🌐 We heard a presentation outlining the future of the EEA 🌐 A new board was elected to serve the 2025 year. Congratulations to all the new board members! 🌐 Our guests from the EEA stayed for the rest fo the Dutch Edtech Summit, participating in roundtable discussions with esteemed members of the local Dutch Edtech ecosystem and joining us later on for the release of the State of the Dutch Edtech Ecosystem Report! 🚀 Last Friday, we hosted the first-ever Dutch EdTech Summit: Future of Learning 🙌 With 100+ guests, 3 separate sessions and side-events, and a brand new report, the event was a huge success! We are excited to announce the release of our new state of the Dutch EdTech- report, showing the impressive growth of the Dutch EdTech sector, now supporting over 11,000 jobs and securing a solid international position as an innovation hub.
