Meet Forest Digital, the UK-based company that printed our ‘Water Silks’ scarves on their Epson Monna Lisa printer. Designed by @patternity, our collection of EcoVero™ silk scarves are inspired by the rivers and canals of Europe’s style capitals, created to spotlight fashion’s water footprint problem. With a firm commitment to the environment – from the inks and fabrics they use to their print technology – Forest Digital were the perfect print partner. Their Monna Lisa digital textile printer enables them to print textiles accurately and beautifully, with reduced water and energy use for minimum impact on the environment. “The Monna Lisa has been a game changer for us and also enabled our partners to produce stunning textiles without compromise to the planet. What makes it so exciting is not only the water saving but also the flexibility of on-demand textile printing. It enables us to offer customers a faster turnaround of designs, when they need it, without having to rely on mass shipments of stock, much of which will have incurred higher waste streams due to analogue printing.” — Scott Cooper, Managing Director, Forest Digital Offering unprecedented quality, international luxury brands and designers including Richard Quinn and Yuima Nakazato, have already adopted Epson’s more sustainable digital textile production methods. And Epson continues to innovate in this area with the launch of the ML-13000 in 2023, designed to significantly reduce water consumption. Over ons
Epson is a global leader in imaging technologies. We make things that help people and businesses see the world a little differently. This page is managed by Epson Europe B.V., the European headquarters of the Seiko Epson Corporation, and the company behind the global Epson brand. We’ve created an array of award-winning products for consumer, business, government, medical, finance and retail markets across the world. Our factories, based across the globe, manufacture a range of products that includes printers, scanners, projectors, point-of-sale terminals, smart glasses, GPS sports monitors, heart rate activity monitors and industrial robots. Epson is a Japanese brand that evolved from Seiko – best known as one of the world’s foremost watchmakers. In 1968, we launched the EP-101, the world’s smallest and first digital printer, from which the name Epson, the son of the EP was born. We’ve continued innovating ever since, and now we’re one of the best-selling and most innovative brands in just about every market in which we operate. This page deals with our businesses in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Sister companies within our group manage their own pages to cater for other regions. We constantly strive to create innovative products that are reliable, recyclable and energy efficient because at Epson, we know that planning for the future requires a strong commitment to the environment. All of Epson’s European activities are geared towards achieving the goals set out in our Environmental Vision 2050 plan, and we are always happy to hear constructive ideas on how we can deliver those commitments and more.

For the fifth year running, we’ve earned a place on CDP’s A List for tackling climate change. But this isn’t just an achievement — it’s a reflection of who we are. Guided by sho sho sei — the Japanese principle of being compact, efficient, and precise — we build sustainability into everything we do. That means designing lighter products, reducing waste, and utilising recycled materials. It’s about respecting our planet’s finite resources while creating technology that lasts. For 80 years, our story has been shaped by the shores of Lake Suwa in Japan. Nature has always inspired us and protecting it has always driven us. This milestone is a reminder of why we do what we do — and why we’ll keep pushing for better. #CDPAList #Sustainability #ClimateAction #MoreThanMeetsTheEye

Did you know the dyeing process for a jacket typically requires over 3,300 litres – almost half of the water needed to produce the garment? Ahead of fashion week season, we’ve collaborated with sustainable design duo PATTERNITY to create ‘Water Silks’ – a collection of EcoVero™ silk scarves inspired by the rivers and canals of Europe’s style capitals to spotlight fashion’s water footprint problem. The four scarves (London, Paris, Milan, Berlin) serve as a reminder of the intimate relationship between our environment and the clothes we wear. Printed using our innovative Monna Lisa technology, which can reduce water consumption in the colour printing stage of clothing production by 97%, Water Silks represent positive step forwards for fashion and an opportunity to inspire more brands to adopt more sustainable technology.
