ESTIEM is an exciting network of open-minded students with a professional approach

Over ons

ESTIEM is a non-profit, non-political organization for European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management, who combine technological understanding with management skills. ESTIEM is a strong network represented by 76 Local Groups across Europe, reaching more than 60 000 students. All these independently-functioning local student associations organize Europe-wide and local activities, and represent ESTIEM in their universities. Our goal is to establish and foster relations between students and to support them in their personal and professional development. We aim to be the connector of IEM Students with an IEM Europe. An IEM Europe is the ecosystem of companies, universities, organisations and other entities interested in the field of IEM. We are striving for each IEM Student to have a connection not only with other students all over Europe in the same field but also to other companies and universities, to ensure each student has a voice as well as the opportunity to make a difference, and to allow each outstanding innovative idea to become reality.

These students are unlocking a bright future of possibilities. Eight teams from the ESTIEM (European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management) visited Plastipak Belgium to compete in the final round of the TIMES competition. The finalists presented their innovations and ideas on ways our industry can grow to a jury of Plastipak experts. We were thoroughly impressed by their projects and the potential they bring to the future of our industry. #Innovation #EngineeringExcellence #FutureLeaders #TIMESCompetition #Plastipak #ESTIEM

Dear ESTIEMer, Three and a half months ago, paths of six people from different parts of Europe came together. We feel great honour and responsibility to take over these positions. Mandate of the 35th Board of ESTIEM starts today and we are very much looking forward to seeing what the next year will bring. The six of us are together motivated by the passion for this network and the desire to make a difference. But we can’t do it alone. We’re joined by dozens of other ESTIEMers from different countries who took a brave step of becoming a Leader in ESTIEM. We want to thank them for their motivation and support. Each one of them is here for the same reason as us – to aim high through personal and professional development of themselves and the network. Three and a half decades later, we’re merely a brick in a big construction project. However, every brick is important and that’s why we would like to thank the 34th Board of ESTIEM – Erik, Ari, Tina, Alex, Marlene and João, for the work that they did in the past twelve months, as well as all 33 Boards before them. We’re happy to continue where you all left off, with hope that ESTIEMers 35 years from now would look back at these times fondly, as we’re looking back to all of the times before us. Today marks the day our mandate starts. As we were voted upon in Council Meeting Aveiro, we want to give our best to see this network aim high. To strive for development of ESTIEMers and Local Groups. To embrace the diversity of the many cultures that ESTIEM connects. To take this network one step closer to being the connector of IEM students with IEM Europe. To encourage participation every step of the way. To strengthen what it means to be an ESTIEMer. Let’s write history. Together. We’ll see you somewhere in Europe! In High ESTIEM, The 35th Board of ESTIEM “Society grows great when people plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.”

Dear ESTIEMers, Today marks the end of the mandate for the 34th Board of ESTIEM. And what a mandate it has been! All we did and all we achieved, we did together. Together with the Leaders, the ESTIEMHeirs, the many dedicated Team Members, all the active people in the Local Groups, and the Local Responsibles. Many of you we met in our travels, and some of you we never got the chance to meet in person. We thank you all, as ESTIEM cannot be built alone, and we could not have done what we did without your support. We hope to see all of you that made our mandate special soon, so that we can remember these good old days together again. On the last day of our mandate, we want to give one last official congratulation to Milutin, Lucija, Adrien, Rob, Fran and Hannes, as we know we are leaving the organisation in good hands. We wish them the best of luck and leave one last tip: Enjoy the year and remember that everything you do is a gift! All in all, this was an amazing year. With gratitude, we say goodbye. But by now we all know that there are no goodbyes in ESTIEM, there are only new opportunities to meet each other again, somewhere in Europe.💚 In High ESTIEM, The 34th Board of ESTIEM
