Nieuwe hygiënische robots voor de voedingsmiddelen- en farmaceutische industrie/ New Hygienic Robots for the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries (English below)   Focus Engineering houdt je graag op de hoogte van relevante innovaties in de industriële sector. Samen met het Fraunhofer Institute heeft Yaskawa twee 6-assige robots ontwikkeld die perfect aansluiten bij de strenge hygiënestandaarden van onder meer de voedingsmiddelenindustrie en farmacie. De nieuwe HD-serie (Hygienic Design) biedt een ontwerp zonder externe schroeven of dode ruimtes, wat schoonmaken eenvoudig maakt. Met de hoogste IP69K-beschermingsklasse en een bijzonder glad oppervlak wordt vuilhechting sterk verminderd, en het geïntegreerde ontwerp zorgt dat kabels veilig binnenin de robotarm blijven. In de Benelux zijn de eerste robots al in gebruik bij Van Wees Waalwijk, waar ze in een binpick food cell ingrediënten zoals paprika en sladressing nauwkeurig plaatsen in maaltijdsalades. Dankzij een geavanceerd vision systeem wordt de positie van elk object zeer nauwkeurig bepaald, zodat alles correct wordt geplaatst. In collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute, Yaskawa has developed two 6-axis robots that meet the stringent hygiene standards of industries such as food and pharmaceuticals. The new HD series (Hygienic Design) features a seamless design with no external screws or crevices, making cleaning simple. With the highest IP69K protection rating and an ultra-smooth surface, dirt adhesion is minimized, and cables are safely integrated within the robot arm. In the Benelux, the first robots are already in use at Van Wees Waalwijk, where they work in a binpick food cell, precisely placing ingredients like bell peppers and salad dressing packets into meal salad bowls. Thanks to an advanced vision system, each object’s position is identified accurately, ensuring correct placement. Parker Hannifin heeft een uitgebreid testprogramma ontwikkeld om de volgende generatie filters voor gasturbines te verbeteren. Deze innovatieve clearcurrent Assure TriDustPlus filters zijn ontworpen om turbines in de meest uitdagende omgevingen optimaal te laten presteren. Dankzij rigoureuze tests, waaronder ijsafwijzing en mobiele testrigs, wordt verzekerd dat de filters bestand zijn tegen verontreinigingen zoals zout, olie en zware stofdeeltjes. The world's first large-scale electrically heated steam cracker Focus Engineering keeps you up-to-date on relevant developments, news and opportunities in the Dutch industrial sector. Today, we are sharing an article from news website Industrievandaag. Recently, BASF, SABIC, and Linde celebrated the official opening of the world's first demonstration unit for a steam cracker that is heated electrically on a large scale. This marks a significant milestone after three years of development, engineering, and construction. In March 2021, a joint agreement was signed by the three companies for the development and demonstration of solutions for the electrically heated steam cracker. The steam cracker plays a large and important role in the production of basic chemicals. These furnaces require substantial amounts of energy to break down hydrocarbons into olefins and aromatics, typically occurring at temperatures around 850 degrees Celsius. The new demonstration unit shows that continuous production of olefins is possible using electricity as the heat source. By utilizing renewable energy, this technology can reduce the CO2 emissions of one of the most energy-intensive processes in the chemical industry by at least 90%.
