Earlier this week, we proudly announced that Fokker Services Group had been officially certified as an Embraer Authorized Service Center, enabling us to provide maintenance services for the E-Jets first-generation family from our Singaporean facilities in Seletar. This significant achievement has been celebrated by both companies. Recap of an inspiring Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) week at Fokker Services Group For us, promoting DEI and upholding the highest standards in this subject matter are at the heart of our business strategy. For the second year in a row since signing the DEI Charter, facilitated by FME (the Dutch umbrella organization for technology companies), we came together to celebrate ‘DEI Week’. This annual event provides a shared space to communicate and promote our DEI policies, reflect on our DEI vision, and, most importantly, connect with our colleagues—while having a bit of fun along the way! Two standout moments from this year’s DEI Week: First, we were honored to welcome Marlou van Rhijn, a Dutch three-time Paralympic champion, also known as ‘The Blade Babe’. Specializing in the 100-, 200-, and 400-meter sprints, Marlou captivated the audience with her powerful story of achievement, determination, and success. Holding the world records for all three distances, she embodies the spirit of achievement. As a strong advocate for inclusion, Marlou shared her simple yet impactful perspective: "Of course, there are differences, but we should focus on what makes us similar, not on what sets us apart." She encouraged everyone to be more open and to think about how we can involve more people in what we do, as a reflection of the positive developments within the sports world. Meanwhile, Nathalie van der Valk, Director of People & Culture at FSG, participated as a panelist at the Vrouwen4Tech event, hosted by FME. The panel, moderated by Marguerite Soeteman-Reijnen, Chair of SER Topvrouwen, discussed the challenges, opportunities, and benefits of achieving greater gender equality within Dutch technology companies. The importance of this conversation was underscored by keynote speeches of the stature of Shefali Razdan Duggal, U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands, and Liesje Schreinemacher, former Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. DEI Week at FSG is a testament to our commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued. Boasting more than 100 years in aircraft engineering, Fokker Services Group is home to an impressive array of aircraft modifications, which consist of equipping and updating aircraft with the latest technology to comply with regulations, enhance safety, improve efficiency, and heighten comfort. Our process borrows significantly from the Design Thinking methodology – a holistic approach integrating all stakeholders in order to create user-centric solutions. Wrapping Up a Week of Global Engagement, with a strong presence at two major events on opposite sides of the world: the MRO Asia Pacific in Singapore and the RAA Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. Our enhanced value proposition for regional and local carriers was the common thread linking both events. At MRO Asia Pacific, Fokker Services Group announced being appointed Embraer Authorized Service Center from our facilities in Seletar, Singapore. Meanwhile, in Washington DC (USA), our team highlighted how our portfolio supports Fokker, ATR, Embraer, CRJ, Dash-8, B737NG fleets and more through our Exchange Component programs in the RAA, which is all about supporting the growth of the regional market in North America. [ANNOUNCEMENT] A few months ago we announced that Fokker Services Asia (part of Fokker Services Group) was underway to becoming an Embraer Authorized Service Center. Well, mission accomplished! Fokker Services Asia has officially been appointed as an Embraer Authorized Service Center! This milestone was achieved with the signing of the final contract during the Aviation Week MRO Asia Pacific 2024 event held in Singapore (25 and 26 September). Fokker Services Asia has now been awarded the official certification of Embraer Authorized Service Center to provide maintenance services for the E-Jets first-generation family, with a focus on E190 aircraft. Introducing "Step Up" at Fokker Services Group 🚲 We’re proud to launch our new Step Up project at the Woensdrecht facility (the Netherlands), aimed at boosting employee well-being and contributing to our sustainability commitments. As part of this initiative, we’ve installed bike hubs across our hangars, providing e-scooters and bikes for easy, efficient, and eco-friendly transport between hangars and repair shops. According to Sander de Jong, project lead, "not only does Step Up support our sustainability roadmap by reducing CO2 emissions compared to gas-powered vehicles, but it also helps our teams move quickly and comfortably after an during workdays or manual work.
