Exciting times at the Aquatic Pollutants Final Conference in Frankfurt! A couple of weeks ago, we wrapped up an incredible week of learning and collaboration with the European Junior Water Programme (EJWP) and Blue Innovation Track (BIT) in Eesergroen, Netherlands. The sessions were full of insightful discussions and creative approaches to leadership and problem-solving in the water sector. We explored: Capacity building through dynamic sessions led by H2O People, focusing on leadership and effective team dynamics. Deep Democracy workshops, digging into inclusive decision-making and leadership approaches. Creative method like Lego Serious Play, helping us think differently about complex challenges and, of course, we built strong connections, shared meals, and created lasting memories. She is a research assistant in the spectrometry laboratory at the Jos @University of Galați in Romania. “My research focuses on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of pollutants affecting our aquatic ecosystems, utilizing cutting-edge spectroscopy equipment,” explains Lazar. What an inspiring first half of the week it’s been with BIT2 & EJWP4 in Eesergroen! Monday kicked off with H2O People introducing their vision, setting the stage for Integrated Capacity Building. In the afternoon, we dove deep into Deep Democracy, sparking insightful leadership discussions. Tuesday brought creativity to the forefront! From Lego Serious Play to leadership exercises around complexity. The evening was rounded off with a pizza party, fueling connections. On Wednesday, we explored the subconscious through art and visual storytelling. So many tools and methodologies explored already! And we’re not done yet! Today (Thursday), we’ll be tackling Inclusive Teambuilding for Impact led by Jennifer, ensuring we build on everything learned so far. #LeadershipDevelopment #BlueInnovationTrack #CapacityBuilding #WaterSector #Teambuilding

🌊 Last week, the European Junior Water Programme gathered in Lisbon for an exciting training week as part of the iMERMAID EU project, bringing together professionals and innovators in water management. 💡During these days, participants explored project development, cross-cultural collaboration, and innovative approaches like #DigitalTwins. Hands-on activities like the Lego Serious Play session and field visits provided fresh insights into tackling water challenges. 🔝This week-long programme in Lisbon demonstrated the strength of peer learning, collaboration, and innovative thinking.
