The HOTEL Study is a watershed in establishing the safety of remote CTG for at-risk pregnancies. In 2023, the consortium of six hospitals published landmark findings in the Lancet Digital Health, making a big advance in moving CTGs outside of hospital. The authors drawing positive conclusions about enabling pregnant mothers to capture the exams themselves, with evidence of lower costs and higher patient satisfaction.
