Especially in this day and age, running an agency or studio is highly competitive and stressful. Stress is contagious; before you know it everyone in the agency is running around like headless chicken and performance is tanking. What you need is process & role definition so all people involved know how to get the work done; together. If you have a hard time fixing this; hit me up and I'll help you take the pressure off so you and your teams can perform at their best. Wanna know how? With the new age of agency models comes an implicit care for the welbeing of the makers in the industry. The use of LLMs and A 4 day workweek is one way to offer relief to people instead of reaping the rewards as a C-suite... Article in dutch, free read for the first ten! "I would love to go through your 297 page portfolio..." Said no recruiter or ad exec ever I wanted to write a rant on how recruiters and prospects see me as overqualified; underqualified; "We just want a designer..." But I'll gladly refrain from that. I simply have multiple hard- and softskills under my belt. Somehow having all this experience is undercutting me in the jobmarket. Instead I have compiled a non-conclusive list of all my hard- and softskills I've gathered up over the past decade and a half; scroll down for the list... or read on 😏 I'm not a generalist; I'm a swiss army knife. I can show up, fully dedicated to your cause with the right skill and personality depending on what the work needs: A dilligent and highly executional artworker? ✔️ A crazy all over the place conceptual thinker and artist? ✔️ A knitpicking designer with proactive production knowledge? ✔️ An inspiring team lead, driving KPIs, knowing what makes individuals tick? ✔️ A retouching hermit? ✔️ All of the above and more; but who needs this?! 💫The small to medium sized agency💫 The un-silo-ed, unbridled creative agency and studio that has a portfolio of clients and work as dynamic as the weather. So, if you are part of an agency and the work is too much to handle; drop me a line and we'll take it from there! 🤩 ...Oh, and that list? I couldn't be bothered; and who's gonna read it anyway... You? Drop me a line and I'll send it. Have an awesome day! 🖤🤩🤘😎 Image: https://lnkd.in/evfkrh9q

In an industry where everyone is chasing AI and all it's promisses; I'm all about the 'boring bits'. Lack of a seamless workflow for your briefs is among the most resource draining parts of an organisation. If you hit the ground running with your agency and you have a hard time growing as a business, maybe it's time to revaluate your production chain. or as I call it: The lifecycle of a brief

We've found time and again the things that need shifting for greater change to happen are often the invisible, underlying, building blocks of our systems - or the 'boring bits'. The structural ways of organising and working in institutions, organisations and communities - things like regulatory frameworks, procurement and contracting processes, compliance requirements, reporting priorities and many more. We're committed to exploring how we elevate the boring bits in our context, to work with brave partners on how we might open up this practice. Towards that end, our director Ingrid Burkett spoke with Indy Johar from Dark Matter Labs who have progressed extraordinary work on The Boring Revolution to understand his perspective on what it is and why it's important. We’re taking chunks of that conversation and sharing our reflections and local context over a series of short blogs. Below is the first one.
