What started as a livestream event in 2020 is now the 3rd edition of this beautiful event: the AWS Community Day. 🇳🇱 Our colleague Lien Vande Velde managed the venue, rooms, contact and audiovisual parts. Thomas Verstraete arranged efficient badge pick-up, whilst Carla Salles took care of the sponsors. For Karen Van Belleghem it was a special day: she was running her very first event and got a taste of all facets, both registration, sponsors, the halls and the catering. And here she succeeded completely - well done! 👍 The opening keynote was a beautiful panel session, the conversation led by Martijn van Dongen (AWS Community Hero) and Milou Verheij (PostNL). An exclusive women's panel led by guest speaker Angelina Best closed the sessions. 🗣️ The event ended nicely with an enjoyable networking reception with delicious catering. "I can still remember how my interview with Esther, the executive director, went 7 years ago. She said: 'I see you can sell and you speak the language, but you are a little too soft towards the client. We're going to take that out!' That was something that always has remained in my mind. I now work in a team of three, with Marty and Carla. I am glad that I have been able to develop myself well, for example in giving high-level presentations to large clients, and that I have become adept at solo travel. To Dubai, for example, and that I am able to keep calm at stressful moments. Jeroen: "It is great fun to be able to travel a lot for my job, I am always “on”, there is a lot of variety and I have to be able to switch quickly. After organising this event in Berlin 🇩🇪, Paris 🇫🇷, London 🇬🇧 and Madrid 🇪🇸, we returned to Amsterdam for the Genesys Xperience EMEA North 2024. 🇳🇱 For the 3rd consecutive time! 👏 Our team organized the Xperience at the beautifully dynamic Theater Amsterdam. This event highlights the collaboration between our different teams of specialists. Not just on-site, but just as well in the months leading up to it. Esther Meijers shared overall project management duties with Channah van Pamelen. They were supported by Eveline Buysse (expo and sponsors), Thomas Verstraete (registration, event app) and Valerie van de Velde (branding).
