Over two decades, the Maputo Protocol has supported feminist organizing for abortion rights in Africa. Thanks to Mama Cash grantee-partner Muvman Liberasyon Fam (MLF), Mauritius decriminalized abortion in key circumstances in 2012. MLF’s General Secretary, Rajni Lallah, led this charge, using strategic tools like the Abortion Arguments Kit to build support and drive change. Rajni's dedication exemplifies how sustained activism and support can achieve significant progress. Mama Cash has supported movements like MLF for over 40 years. Breaking barriers in fitness: the inspiring journey of Marcha van Glaanen Weijgel    Meet Marcha van Glaanen Weijgel, the Surinamese-Dutch entrepreneur who transformed the Dutch fitness scene by creating a welcoming space for women. Despite her strong qualifications, banks repeatedly denied her loan applications.  Mama Cash’s crucial support helped Marcha open her Amsterdam studio in 1997.
