Over ons

Nebius Group is building one of the largest commercially available AI infrastructure businesses, based in Europe. Our core business is an AI-centric cloud platform built for intensive AI workloads. We are building full-stack infrastructure to service the explosive growth of the global AI industry, including large-scale GPU clusters, cloud platforms and tools and services for developers. Our headquarters and main R&D presence is in Amsterdam, with additional R&D and commercial hubs in Europe, North America and Israel. Our businesses operate and serve customers on four continents. Our name reflects our mission and values as a company. Combining nebula, the Latin word for cloud, with a reference to the endless Möbius strip, the name Nebius embodies our belief in the endless possibilities offered by cloud technologies. In addition to our core AI infrastructure business, we are developing three other businesses that will operate under their own distinctive individual brands: • Toloka AI – a data partner for all stages of AI development from training to evaluation; • TripleTen – a leading edtech player in the US and certain other markets, re-skilling people for careers in tech; • Avride – one of the most experienced teams developing autonomous driving technology for self-driving cars and delivery robots. The group is led by Arkady Volozh, the entrepreneur and visionary co-founder of Yandex.

✨ More exciting developments at Nebius – today we announced that we are tripling the capacity of our data center in Mäntsälä, Finland, a state-of-the-art location with strong green credentials. ⚡ The current expansion phase will enable us to place up to 60,000 GPUs at the Mäntsälä location alone, with annual revenue potential of over USD 1 billion at full capacity utilization. 🌍 The expansion in Finland will include deployment of NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs, which will be available to customers from November, in addition to already installed NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs that form the backbone of our fleet of NVIDIA GPUs. Nebius will also be one of the first providers in Europe to bring the state-of-the-art, energy-efficient NVIDIA Blackwell platform to customers in 2025. As Andrey Korolenko, Head of Infrastructure at Nebius, said: “Tripling capacity at our flagship site in Finland is an important step in our build-out of best-in-class AI infrastructure in Europe. Our data center at Mäntsälä is our ‘home base’ and showcases our ambition and the technical capabilities of the Nebius team, as well as our approach to adopting sustainability principles in our infrastructure. The capacity we are adding here during this expansion phase will enable us to better serve growing demand from AI builders globally.” Read more 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eXTZ7V3G

Continuing our series introducing the members of the Nebius family, today we're putting the spotlight on Avride: a pioneering developer of autonomous vehicles. 🚙 The Avride team is one of the most experienced in the industry, drawing on the deep expertise of about 200 talented engineers. Led by CEO Dmitry Polishchuk, Avride is headquartered in Austin, TX, and has R&D hubs around the world. 🤖 Excitingly, Avride is almost the only company on the market that develops and operates both autonomous cars and delivery robots, using mutually enhancing technologies. 🌮 Avride’s delivery robots are already making commercial deliveries in the US and South Korea. As local TV stations have reported 👇, residents of the Mueller neighbourhood in Austin are already getting used to takeout delivered by Avride's distinctive bots: https://lnkd.in/gc7rQeTJ. Meanwhile, Avride is also testing its autonomous cars on public roads. 🦺 Avride is committed to making autonomous mobility safer and more accessible for everyone through the transformative power of technology, and we’re excited to be part of the journey. 🇫🇷 Nebius launches its first GPU cluster in France Our first Paris data center presence is a colocation deployment based at Equinix’s PA10 campus in the Saint-Denis district of the French capital. Thanks to the sustainability initiatives in place at the site, waste heat generated by Nebius’ servers will be used to warm the urban farm established by Equinix on the facility’s roof. We’ve included some photos in our blog post: https://lnkd.in/ey8FYJSk The Paris facility will be the first equipped solely with Nebius-designed servers from day one — we are no longer using third-party servers or racks. Thanks to the efforts of our hardware R&D team in optimizing processes, setting up the equipment and deploying systems to a user-ready state will take only two months. The data center in France will receive the first client workloads in November 2024. #Paris #datacenters #clusters #GPUs

Today we are introducing another member of the Nebius Group family: Toloka, a data partner for generative AI developers worldwide. Huge demand from AI developers is driving the rapid growth of a new market for training data that is expected to grow at more than 40% CAGR for next five years. Producing high-quality, human annotated data at scale is a complex task and one of the bottlenecks of modern AI development. Founded in 2014, Toloka is one of the few companies set up to capture this opportunity. Led by founder and CEO Olga Megorskaya, the Toloka team has a rare combination of expertise and technological infrastructure to build robust and high-quality human data operations at scale. This deep expertise has many applications. Earlier this week, for example, the team unveiled Beemo, a new cutting-edge benchmark for detecting AI-generated texts, with partners including Penn State University and the University of Oslo.  Follow Toloka to learn more. #Toloka #Nebius

🚀 Exciting News: Toloka and Top Universities Launch Innovative Benchmark for Detecting AI-Generated Texts! We’re thrilled to announce a groundbreaking collaboration between the University of Oslo, Penn State University, and Toloka, unveiling Beemo, a cutting-edge benchmark to revolutionize AI text detection. This new benchmark, created by experts from leading institutions, offers a robust, realistic testing environment for AI text detectors. Beemo is designed using LLMs like LLaMA and expert human annotators, challenging detectors to differentiate between purely machine-generated texts and human-edited ones, reflecting real-world scenarios. Why is this important? Detecting AI-generated content is crucial for:  1️⃣ Maintaining data integrity, 2️⃣ Addressing ethical and legal concerns, 3️⃣ Enhancing the reliability of AI systems. Adaku Uchendu from MIT Lincoln Labs emphasizes the importance of distinguishing artificial texts from human-written ones to protect the integrity of our information ecosystem. Meanwhile, Preslav Nakov from MBZUAI (Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence) highlights the challenge of detecting hybrid texts co-authored by humans and AI, as they can be particularly deceptive. With contributions from top NLP researchers such as Vladislav Mikhailov, Saranya Venkatraman, Jason Lucas, M.Sc., MPH, Ph.D (cand), MPH, Ph.D (cand), Jooyoung Lee, and more. As AI evolves, this benchmark is a vital tool for NLP practitioners and researchers. It sets new standards for AI-generated content detection and paves the way for future innovations. Beemo is now available for public use on: GitHub: https://lnkd.in/dksfBKFD Hugging Face: https://lnkd.in/dp4db-gt Let’s continue pushing the boundaries of AI together!
