Yesterday marked the grand opening of our largest mill built by Trouw Nutrition in Chilliwack, BC. The event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by 400 guests, such as local officials, producer customers and industry leaders.
This state-of-the-art facility represents a significant milestone for the company and the industry, promising to set new standards for the next generations, with improved efficiency, and sustainability.
Guests who attended the event also had the chance to tour the facility to witness firsthand the scale and innovation of this new mill.
Here are some interesting facts about this new facility:
- The new mill has 50% more producing capacity than the old facility with 20% less CO2 boiler energy consumption.
- The mill counts 372,715 safe workhours during construction.
- The new mill will increase raw material storage capacity by more than 30%.

C'est hier à Chilliwack, CB, qu'a eu lieu l'inauguration officielle de la plus grande une construite en Amérique du Nord par Trouw Nutrition. L'événement, qui a rassemblé 400 personnes, incluait une coupe de ruban officielle.
Cette usine ultramoderne représente une étape importante pour l'entreprise et l’industrie, tout en promettant d'établir de nouvelles normes de production pour les prochaines générations, en plus d'accroître son efficacité et sa durabilité.
Les invités qui ont assisté à l'événement ont également eu l'occasion de visiter l'usine pour constater l'ampleur et l'innovation de la plus grande usine que Trouw Nutrition ait construite en Amérique du Nord.
Faits concernant la nouvelle usine de Chilliwack
- La capacité de production de la nouvelle usine est supérieure de 50 % à celle de l'ancienne avec 20 % de moins d’émissions de CO2 en consommation d’énergie pour les bouilloires.
- Sécurité : l'usine compte 372 715 heures de travail sans accident pendant la construction.
- La nouvelle usine augmentera la capacité de stockage des matières premières de plus de 30 %.
