Barbara’s work focuses on the challenges and opportunities for women in the traditionally male-dominated port and maritime sectors. In this session, she will explore her groundbreaking project, “Women in the port and maritime sector, why not”, which brings visibility to female workers in Livorno's port through a photographic exhibition. Despite advancements in technology and a growing demand for skilled professionals in areas like environmental management and digitalization, women remain underrepresented and often invisible in the industry. Barbara’s project aims to shift this narrative by sparking conversations among stakeholders and advocating for women’s greater participation in both operational and leadership roles within the port sector. 📅 15:00 - 15:15, 26 - 27 September 📍 Berlage room, TU Delft Organised by Mina Akhavan, Carola Hein, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, TU Delft, Marie Curie Alumni Association This event is funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions RePortFlows ( https://lnkd.in/e293jQZ2) and the Resilient Delta Initiative (https://lnkd.in/dsyJRz9y) 👉 Register now for this public event! 🔗 https://bit.ly/3zgp7cn
