🌟 ProChile Netherlands @ #SemanaDeLaIndustria 2024! 🌟 🔝 ProChile Netherlands was thrilled to participate in the #SemanaDeLaIndustria 2024, with Beatriz Rietveldt representing our office and presenting the Netherlands as one of the top export market for the #Chilean Export. Business round tables, networking events and technical visits were part of the program, all opportunities for encounters between all the different stakeholders. This year's event was a resounding success, featuring 588 business meetings (463 in Santiago and 125 in Concepción) between Latin American importers and 130 Chilean exporting companies, resulting in an impressive US$ 82 million in projected business. IGNACIO FERNANDEZ, Director General of ProChile, expressed his gratitude towards the importers from ten markets, as well as the Chilean industries and associations that participated. He emphasized ProChile's commitment to supporting and strengthening long-term, solid relationships between exporters and importers. The event also included a variety of activities such as discussions, networking, and site visits to companies like Laboratorios Prater, VAS Partners, HORSE Chile, @Enaer, Guivar Transforma, Concón Maderas Impregnadas, @Forestal León, @Laboratorio del Instituto Forestal INFOR, COEXPAN Chile, and @Garibaldi Chile. 🌟 Great highlights from the Diplomat Magazine The Hague Wine Extravaganza! 🍷 We’re thrilled to share Chile's participation as Embassy of Chile to the Netherlands, and Commercial office of ProChile, at the recent fifth edition of The Diplomats Wine Extravaganza, an exclusive event tailored for wine professionals, including sommeliers, distributors, and retailers. This gathering provides a unique platform for industry experts to explore, taste, and network. We presented a selection of premium wines in collaboration with Viña Casas del Bosque, Galladio World Products, Siegel Family Wines, Sofía Campos Orive, Perez Cruz Wines and @Geisse Chile with The New Bunch - Richel Klarenbeek. The Technical Group of Promotion Agencies of the Pacific Alliance, composed of ProChile, PROCOLOMBIA, @Mexicos Secretariat of Economy and Promperu, will hold the XI Entrepreneurship and Innovation Forum, LAB4+ This iconic event is aimed at the export of services based on #technology and #innovation, and will be a meeting point between entrepreneurs, investors, buyers and exporters of the productive chain of industries 4.0 of the countries of the bloc, and third markets. LAB4+ seeks to position the Pacific Alliance as a regional integration bloc that promotes entrepreneurship, innovation and trade in services among its members, as well as exploring trade opportunities with third markets. 🌟 Yesterday we had a networking event on board the Nieuwe Maze of the Port of Rotterdam Authority. Around 50 counterparts attended, including Representatives of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, Municipality of Rotterdam, Embassies, importers, commercial officers, logistics companies from the port, among others. Very proud of organizing this activity, as ProChile, in collaboration with the @Embassy of #Chile to the Netherlands, the Port of Rotterdam and the Honorary Consul of Chile in #Rotterdam. “CHILE & THE PORT OF ROTTERDAM BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP” was held, also with the aim of strengthening the link with commercial counterparts from different sectors including energy and green hydrogen sector, importers of the fresh fruit and nuts, flowers, wine, logistics and services sectors. The city of Rotterdam has been a pioneer in sustainability, and its port, the largest and most important in #Europe, is at the forefront of logistics efficiency. It is also an important distribution hub for products exported by Chile to the European continent. In recent years, Chile and the #Netherlands have become strategic allies to promote the development of the Green #Hydrogen industry. In March 2021, both countries signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a strategic collaboration, which aims to establish a green corridor from Chile to the Port of Rotterdam. This engagement represents a significant step in the bilateral relationship, consolidating commercial ties and fostering new opportunities for collaboration in prior sectors for both nations. At ProChile Netherlands we are dedicated to leveraging our strengths for service and #innovation. This project #BecomeGlocal aligns perfectly with our mission to foster international collaboration and promote global business opportunities. We were happy to be present at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, joining universities from Chile, Colombia, and Spain, along with Latin American businesses, to unite in the BecomeGlocal project. We are proud to support the Chilean delegation participating in this project: Universidad Católica del Maule, Jorge Burgos, and Universidad Cat��lica de la Sant��sima Concepci��n, Steve Baeza abadie. These projects, co-funded by the European Union, highlight the qualities on both sides of the ocean. This initiative allows us to build new connections, enhance intercultural communication, and find solutions to challenges through new intercultural exchanges.   ProChile Netherlands joined the second day of the bootcamp, where Beatriz Rietveldt and Pablo M. were members of the opening panel. Questions, such as, enhancing employability by embracing diversity, involving academia and industry partners from various countries were addressed. Ornella Flores, during the group sessions, shared challenges in supply chain and production. The sessions featured, (silent) brainstorms, groupwork and presentations from interdisciplinary teams, insights from educational and industry experts. At the end of the day Jhonatan Bringas Dimitriades, MD shared his insights into the importance of diversity in the workplace.   🤝 Collaborating with companies is essential for every higher education institution. The Become Glocal initiative exemplifies this principle by bringing together diverse organizations and educational institutions to create meaningful partnerships. We believe that working with businesses is a must, and this project provides an excellent platform for such cooperation.   💡 Innovative ideas often emerge from conversations that many might shy away from. At ProChile Netherlands, we embrace these discussions to drive progress. The meeting highlighted the issue of unconscious bias and its implications in the workplace, especially in leadership and hiring practices. The homogeneity in executive boards was noted as a result of bias, and the need to intentionally seek diversity and establish clear decision-making rules was emphasized. The importance of being aware of and addressing bias in all aspects of life was also underscored.   🌐 Our efforts span the globe, and we are excited about the international impact of the Become Glocal project.
