The winch you see in the photo has just returned from its first offshore project, where it was deployed as a mooring winch on a specialized offshore vessel during this year's busy project season. What makes this winch exceptional? DROMEC Winches supplies winches to Safe Lifting Europe https://lnkd.in/eWVSd_8f Safe Lifting Europe, based in Vlaardingen, specializes in the rental of lifting and rigging equipment. The company offers a wide range of machines, focusing on both onshore and offshore applications. They have a worldwide reputation for their expertise in heavy lifting and rigging equipment. To expand their rental fleet, DROMEC Winches delivered two newly developed 10T winches. Lifting winches DROMEC Winches has designed a new version of this robust machine specifically for Safe Lifting Europe. It is a compact model with dimensions of approximately 2.5m by 1.5m, housed within a frame. On the left side is the drum, while the drive and control system are located on the right side. This new design also enhances the user-friendliness of the machine. The lifting winches for Safe Lifting have a pulling capacity of 10T and are equipped with a 15kW motor with electric drive. This provides a holding capacity of up to 14T on the first layer. Thanks to the relatively large drum, there is ample cable storage of 340m, making this 10T winch a powerful machine for various projects. Control system DROMEC Winches supplies the winches for Safe Lifting with a control system. The operator can control the machine using a so-called belly box. The machine includes an integrated control cabinet with storage space. With this 10T winch, the operator can spool various types of cables in and out, making the machine multifunctional and easy to use for rental purposes. Rens Haagsma, engineer at DROMEC: “We maintain good communication with Safe Lifting regarding the development and construction of rental machines. We have designed this new model for them and are happy to think along with them for new possibilities in practical applications.” Stock This new model from DROMEC Winches is based on the recently developed 5T winch. DROMEC Winches keeps this smaller variant in stock as a standard item. Both winch systems can be optionally configured as lifting or mooring winches and can be expanded with various options according to customer requirements.
