The objective of CORTEX2 "Cooperative Real-Time Experiences with Extended reality" is to democratize access to the remote collaboration offered by next-generation XR experiences, and we are happy to be part of this mission. Femke's work is pioneering in the field of tactile feedback and soft robotic technologies, which have vast applications in medical devices and assistive technologies. We’re thrilled to announce that our SenseGlove Nova gloves are part of a groundbreaking research project at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s largest multidisciplinary laboratory. Designed for deployment in a hot-cell environment, this tele-operation use case was developed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The advanced force and haptic feedback of our gloves enhance the intuitive #feel for human operators, enabling precise control of dexterous robots in tele-operation tasks. A few weeks ago, we attended the AWE in California. For those who couldn't make it, James Hallam PhD wrote a detailed recap about the event and the most unique haptic gloves showcased, including our Nova 2 gloves: “The experience of wearing the glove was quite pleasant – the bulk of the tech is shifted to the dorsum of the hand, which is a benefit of the cable-driven force feedback system.
