De textielrecyclingsector staat onder druk! De markt wordt overspoeld met kleding, terwijl de kwaliteit van ingezameld textiel afneemt en de loonkosten blijven stijgen. Dit zorgt ervoor dat veel traditionele recyclingsbedrijven het moeilijk hebben en hun textiel niet kwijt kunnen. Afgelopen weekend verscheen een paginagroot artikel in de De Telegraaf waar onder andere onze directie Paula Gerritsen geïnterviewd is. Er is dringend behoefte aan een infrastructuur voor hoogwaardige herverwerking van textiel, zodat ingezameld textiel echt waarde kan krijgen. Spinning Jenny produceert garens vanuit deze textielstromen en is er volledig klaar voor! Word jij afnemer van deze garens? People often ask us what makes us different from other spinning mills. The answer is; we truely believe in a better world for our future generations, and there for our focus is on using post consumer waste in order to make a true change to prevent moving our problem to other countries and taking our responsibility. We do our production as sustainable as possible, by using the energy of our more than 1000 solar panels on our roof, saving a lot of CO2. Our factory is almost fully automated, so that we can produce with competitive prices. Further on, our quality: we make the unpossible happening, we love challenges! And last of all, don’t worry, we have a lot of partners, in sorting, recycling and weaving and knitting, so you don’t have to worry about anything!
