𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄 | 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Batteries are intricate systems made up of various materials that undergo dynamic changes during operation. Gaining insight into the chemistry of interfacial layers, particularly those affected by degradation, is essential for designing next-generation battery materials with enhanced stability and longevity. To accurately assess the composition and compare samples in these heterogeneous systems, both small-area analysis and large-area sample examination are required. PHI XPS systems enable such measurements to be collected efficiently, automatically, and at many sample positions with the use of SmartMosaic®. Interested? Even though the academic year just started and it is the busiest time of the year, we are very excited to see many people attending our Molecular Vista, Inc. user meeting! The day consists of talks and discussions about everybody’s applications and even though we’re only halfway, so far everybody has showed super excited results highlighting PiFM’s extremely high chemical lateral resolution of below 5nm. It’s not just possible in Molecular Vista’s lab, our users are achieving it themselves too! Special thanks to Dr. Rüdiger Berger at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research for hosting all of us.
