🌱 Our Accelerate Alumn BiocSol Secures €4.4M to Advance Sustainable Crop Protection!! 🌍 Biocsol has raised €4.4M in a new funding round, bringing its total capital to €9.25M. This milestone reflects the growing interest in their innovative crop protection solutions and their commitment to advancing sustainable farming practices. 💼 This amount includes an investment from our investor partner Pymwymic and non-dilutive funding from the Walloon Region through the Win4company programme. 👩🔬BiocSol is poised to accelerate the development of its biofungicides. Based on an eco-friendly approach, the company’s biosolutions provide effective and long-lasting protection for major crops such as potatoes, leaf vegetables and grapes, in particular against the rapid and devastating effects of mildew agents. 🔬 Their R&D efforts are focused on demonstrating the effectiveness of the first two biofungicide products on a global scale. This round was led by Dutch-based Invest International, with continued support from our partner investors including Pymwymic, SHIFT Invest, and Oost NL. 📈 This latest investment brings OneThird's total capital to €9.25M, following a year where the company achieved an impressive 230% growth. This financial boost is set to further OneThird's mission to dramatically reduce global food waste through advanced technology. 🥑 Founded in 2019 by Marco Snikkers, OneThird offers cutting-edge near-infrared scanning technology that helps stakeholders in the food supply chain—from farmers to retailers—accurately predict the shelf life of fresh produce, thereby minimizing waste. This technology not only helps in making informed decisions about produce handling and distribution but also contributes to substantial savings in quality control labor costs. 🛒 In 2024, OneThird expanded its impact with a new retail store fruit scanner, enabling consumers to make smarter purchasing decisions directly in grocery stores.
