If we are interested in games that build futures literacy, we need to start with the game developers. The theme of this year's FROG conference is "Gaming the Apocalypse". But is it really too much of a surprise that so many games these days are doom-and-gloom? Given how hard life for developers can be at the moment, this is hardly unexpected. I propose that we can start by developing resilience and futures literacy in those who make games, if we want their creations to become places where people engage with futures optimistically and productively. I feel lucky that I get to spin some thoughts at FROG alongside the fantastic Ruth Dorothea Eggel and Krzysztof Chmielewski! Come join us or catch me during the conference to chat about all things futures! Thanks go out to Natalie Denk and the team at Zentrum für Angewandte Spieleforschung!
