Have you tried our nibs yet? Here are a few fun facts to work up your appetite 👇 🍫 Cacao nibs are basically chocolate in its purest form – Before chocolate bars, there were cacao nibs. These crunchy little pieces come straight from roasted cacao beans, making them the least processed form of chocolate you can eat. 💪 They contain more antioxidants than blueberries – Cacao nibs are packed with flavonoids, which help fight oxidative stress and support heart health. They have even more antioxidants than well-known superfoods like blueberries and green tea! 💰 Cacao beans (basically nibs before they're crushed) were once used as currency – The ancient Mayans and Aztecs valued cacao so much that they used the beans as money. You could actually buy goods and services with cacao back in the day! We went to Chocoa, and trust us—it’s the place to be for chocolate and cocoa makers! 🍫 Chocoa is the ultimate cocoa and chocolate fair in Amsterdam! Dedicated to building a more sustainable cocoa industry—a fundamental goal for creating better chocolate. So, of course, we had to be there! From indulging in some of the finest chocolate creations to connecting with industry experts, it was an experience to remember! Beyond the tastings (yes, we had our fair share! 😉), we also expanded our network, meeting passionate chocolatiers, cocoa producers, traders, and sustainability advocates. Moreover, we participated in the sustainability conference, where we learned about inspiring initiatives in fair trade, agroforestry, and innovative ways to improve farmers’ livelihoods!
