Wellbeing at work. Does not have to be complex - but bold. Why did the new ASICS campaign featuring Brian Cox (yes, that Brian Cox from Succession) strike such a chord with us here at TTW? Not just because we see Logan Roy ditch his corporate throne and don a pair of shorts and trainers, but because the message is simple and urgent. We need more of that from our wellbeing comms! Desk time is harming our mental health. According to ASICS' State of Mind study, mental performance declines after just two hours of uninterrupted desk work. In response, they’ve introduced “The Desk Break Clause,” granting employees the right to take movement breaks—15 minutes to recharge, refocus, and support their wellbeing. What makes this campaign stand out? It’s not only entertaining; it’s also a call to action for workplaces to rethink their approach to mental health. Cox's persona shifts from a feared boss to a wellbeing advocate, underscoring the need for regular breaks. The takeaway? Wellbeing communications don’t need to be complex, but they do need to be bold to cut through. Whether through engaging storytelling or real changes in workplace policies, campaigns with a clear CTA like this remind us that prioritizing mental health requires more than just talk—it demands action. Did this inspire you too? What are you doing to rethink your approach to wellbeing at work this World Mental Health Day? #WMHD #moveforyourmind #inspiration #HR #wellbeing

Reality check. When your culture evolves you will lose some people along the way. But you'll be setting honest, clear expectations of what you need from your people to achieve the business outcomes that will keep your company thriving. And you'll be creating an intentional culture that offers a transparent value exchange. That's much better than false pretences and not being honest about what you really need. Do you agree? ...... With thanks to Nastie Schoenmakers and Erica Isotta Surace for letting me host this workshop on culture transformation for their community the D2 collective. #thetruthworks #agency #speaker #culturechange #hr

What has culture change got to do with Grey's Anatomy? Well, just like with a tricky patient case, it's worth taking the time to get your culture diagnosis right upfront. Rush the diagnosis and burn yourself out further down the line wondering why the prescribed "treatment" isn't having the desired effect. Yet companies often want to skip through this stage and C-suite leaders are confident they know what the problems are and are ready to jump to solution mode. At TheTruthWorks we know diagnosis doesn't have to be lengthy but it does need to be honest and thorough and ask the tough questions! Do you agree? How are you getting the heart of your challenges through data and discovery? #thetruthworks #culture #change #consultants

We say we want the truth... but can we really handle the truth? That's a question I posed at my workshop on successfully embedding culture last week with the D2 collective. At TheTruthWorks we always promise to be an honest partner in your process. We don't flatter to deceive and we won't just tell you what you want to hear. We firmly believe that voicing (sometimes uncomfortable) truths is how we drive meaningful change with an organisation. Leaders will often feel excited about this in principle but they are sometimes only looking to hear about the challenges with their talent base. They may not be willing to understand their own role and accountability for any tensions or contradictions in their culture that are preventing them from achieving their ambitious company goals. How do you approach radical truth telling in your process? I would love to hear. What stops you being honest with your leaders and colleagues? #thetruthworks #culturechange #hr #leadership

Where do you even begin with an internal training program when you're dealing with 26 markets, multiple languages, and a wide range of colleague needs? The challenge? Creating a consistent, interactive training solution that resonated with every employee (customer facing or not) across diverse regions and with varying engagement levels. Our Approach Together with Arval BNP Paribas Group, we built a digital training programme that turned customer experience into practical, everyday actions. By incorporating gamification and personalised activities, we created a model that was adaptable, engaging and self-serve. And the cherry on top? This training program has earned us a spot on the shortlist for the Engage Awards 2024 for "Best Use of Training." If your organisation is facing similar challenges, we’d love to chat about how we can help simplify the complex for you too. #thetruthworks #training #hr #internal

Hands up who has failed when it comes to embedding desired culture? That was one of the first questions I asked at a workshop I hosted this week in partnership with the D2 collective. What we don't often appreciate about embedding culture in an organisation is how much it's a change process. And we all know how hard change is. In our fun and interactive session we did a whistle-stop tour through our tried and tested methodology at TheTruthWorks- Make it True, Make it Real, Make it Matter. I led a group of open-minded people leaders through key exercises to help unlock the uncomfortable truths about their culture, identify key blockers and contradictions and create a clear and compelling story to get leaders to engage with the needed change and their critical role in it. We walked through building trust through comms and how we get everyone to see their role in the transformation. We ended the night with a powerful call to leverage creativity to motivate and drive behavioural change in unexpected ways.... "Banana anyone????" (IYKYK) We need to be bolder if we are going to achieve cut through with a skeptical audience. Funnily enough as I wrapped my week last week this was exactly what one client said to me, 'it's time for us as people leaders to be braver and bolder.' Let's go! ........ If you would like TheTruthWorks to help you with any of your culture or comms sticking points we'd love to hear from you. I also recommend checking out more brilliant events from the D2 collective who have built a fantastic community with excellent programming. #culture #change #HR #people

Two days in London done right! Emily Firth, Mark Ivan Serunjogi & Carly Hookey were out in London this week with our clients - and the sun came out for us (literally and figuratively)! 🔸 We kicked off with a deep dive into EDI strategies with our property client, focusing on integrating EDI into everyday work life, setting clear leadership expectations and crafting the right team experience. 🔸 Next up, we presented 3 months of insights, data and strategic thinking to one of our fintech clients. We revealed our recommended EVP, set to drive their exciting culture forward on what’s sure to be an incredible growth journey. 🔸 Post-lunch, we brainstormed year 2 plans for an Employer Brand that's already seen great success, exploring ways to boost brand awareness, fuel the talent funnel and attract future stars. 🔸 Finally, we wrapped up with a behaviours workshop with our client's Exec team, ensuring these behaviours will actively contribute to achieving their company mission and making sure they’re truly lived by all. Not a bad 24 hours in the big smoke! #EDIStrategy #EmployerBranding #EVP #TalentAttraction #LondonVibes #ClientCollaboration
