At BrandPointZero, we think it’s a mistake not to be culturally aware as employers. When you’re relevant, timely and meaningful, you’re also more attractive. In Part 2 of his blog series, Oliver Trotter examines why embracing culture is a necessity for any thriving employer brand and explores some of the ways your brand can become more culturally literate. https://lnkd.in/eesp3-8W #culturalliteracy #culture #employerbranding

The creative communications force behind attractive, engaged, and inclusive workplaces.
About us
BrandPointZero helps organisations attract and retain great people, by being the creative communications force behind engaging, inclusive and sustainable employer brands Everything we do is underpinned by Insight and strategy, and has the needs and motivations of your people at its heart. Because to connect with your people (and the people you want to attract), we need to understand what it is about your organisation or sector that makes them tick. Maybe it’s the kind of work you do, or the way you bring out the best in your people. Maybe it’s the opportunities you offer, or the value you place on collaboration, inclusion and wellbeing. Maybe it’s a bit of all these things – along with that hard-to-define feeling you get when you know you’re in a place where you belong. Whatever the unique ingredients of your culture, we’ll uncover them – then bring them to life through employer brand comms that will connect with your people, attract the attention of brilliant new talent, and give your culture authentic and powerful foundations.

Your social media presence is often the first impression potential candidates get of your organisation. So make it count. 💼✨ If you're just starting out in building your employer brand on social, here are some top tips to staying relevant and stand out from the crowd: 1. Always Be Authentic: Authentic content resonates more and builds trust with potential candidates. 2. Leverage Employee Stories: Your employees are your best brand ambassadors. Providing social proof of your employer brand is key on this platform, so let them share their stories, experiences, and achievements. 3. Engage as Consistently as Possible: Regular interaction with your audience is a great way of nurturing your relationship with the talent community. Respond to comments, participate in relevant discussions, and keep your content fresh. 4. Visual Content is King: Use high-quality images, videos, and infographics to make your posts more engaging. People remember visual content better! 5. Showcase Your Company Culture: Lift the lid on what it's like to work with you. Whether it’s team events, celebrating birthdays or work anniversaries, your office environment, or daily routines — show what makes your company unique. 6. Celebrate Employee Development: Share stories about how you support employee growth, training and development. This shows that you’re invested in your people. 7. Monitor and Adapt: Track what works and what doesn’t. Use analytics to understand your audience’s preferences and adapt your strategy accordingly. If you'd like to take your employer brand to the next level on social 📢 then we'd love to talk. #EmployerBranding #SocialMediaStrategy #CompanyCulture

Joe Hoppard and Sarah Fruen-Neely are right in the midst of CultureCon this week, proudly representing PointZeroGroup. We can't wait to hear all about it on their return. Don't worry - we'll be sharing all their best bits with you! https://lnkd.in/ew8f6DUj #employeeengagement #workplaceculture #CultureCon2024
It's wonderful to be at CultureCon and part of this community of 'culture geeks'! Highlights have been hearing from the inspirational Maritza Lewis on how heart-warming peer-to-peer recognition can drive retention at Zappos, from Hattie Roche on how to create pro-social outcomes by applying the science of Positive Psychology, and the brilliant Beth Ridley and Dr. Ann Newman on building leadership accountability for DEI at Goodwill - "people are not hard, the work is hard" will stay with me. Join me today at 13:00 in Capitol Ballroom A as I explore why Generation Z report feeling so disenchanted and disengaged, and what we can do to help.

According to Gallup, the number of young employees who describe themselves as ‘thriving’ has fallen dramatically. Only a decade ago, younger people had consistently higher life evaluations than older workers. What has changed? In his upcoming CultureCon presentation, our Strategy and Planning Director Joe Hoppard will explore why young people are so disenchanted with the world of work and what employers can do to help. The UK loses over 150 million days per year due to lack of support within the workplace for Women’s Health issues, according to a report from healthcare provider Benenden Health. Alongside this, the report suggests 4 in 10 people have heard derogatory comments about a female's health within the workplace, which relates to the stat of 42% of women that feel uncomfortable talking to their managers regarding these topics. With over 15 million women in full time employment in the UK - organisations today have a chance to drastically up their game to improve the employee experience for women around the country. And for future generations. In their professional life, women face a number of different health challenges including fertility issues, pregnancy, menopause and endometriosis, just to name a few. A 2023 report from the CIPD showed that two thirds of menopausal women aged 40-60 face difficulties at work, and one in 10 left their jobs due to menopausal symptoms. Addressing these concerns with empathy and a solution-focused wellbeing strategy can lead to increased productivity, reduced absenteeism and improved overall job satisfaction. Collectively, we can all work towards a shift in attitude and behaviour towards women’s health, and especially within the workplace. It starts with education and awareness. Seminars, workshops, open spaces for conversations and providing online resources is a great place to start - but as a business you can also think about offering flexible working options, genuinely beneficial mental and physical healthcare benefits and improving office spaces to cater for people dealing with symptoms or issues. On average, we spend 90,000 hours of our life at work. As an employer, if you have the chance to improve this time for your colleagues, why wouldn’t you? #womenshealth #menopause #employeeexperience https://lnkd.in/eqaXq_zx
