Last week, next to EV Experience, we were also present at World of Industry, Technology & Science in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht! To this event we took our unique Vision car with us, which is focused on minimalizing air drag as much as possible, to overcome the challenge of EV’s range. 🛣️ ⚡ Together with SOLID, TU Delft Hydro Motion Team, AeroDelft and Eco-Runner Team Delft we represented the future of engineering at the Student Pavilion stand! It was great to see that there are so many other student teams, just as innovative and motivated to push the boundaries of existing technologies! World of Industry, Technology & Science was a great place to share knowledge and our story with over 400 companies from different sectors. Last week we showcased our car The Revolution at the EV Experience - Circuit Zandvoort, together with our partners NexDrive and Michelin. At this event we were present amongst the largest EV companies to showcase the future of electric mobility. Last week we visited Team Rembrandts for the Emixa Industry Solutions Benelux CM & Digital Twin Event. Together with companies, students and experts we discussed the theme of Configuration Management and its importance in the industry. An insightful presentation by Martijn Dullaart, CM Architect at ASML, introduced us to the topic of CM, its significance and the consequences of a failure to implement this. This was followed by an interactive and fun Lego CM-2 game. In this game we learned how a lack of documentation and improper revisions can lead to costly miscommunications. Results that can be prevented if CM is integrated properly within a organization. With this implementation engineers, suppliers and logistic departments can work together smoothly and without failure. At the end, a member of our previous team, Kai de Kievit gave a presentation together with Sven Rademaker about the implementation of Digital Twins within our team. We use Team Center and software of Siemens Digital Industries Software to create and test the digital twin of our car, the Revolution. Using a digital environment has allowed us to simulate designs in a virtual world, saving us time and money during the development of our fully electric race car! ⚡ 📝 Thank you Emixa Industry Solutions Benelux for inviting us to this interesting event. Last week we were present at Automechanika 2024 in Frankfurt with our car the Vision. We would like to thank RAI Automotive Industry NL for providing us the opportunity to showcase our project at the NL Pavilion! At the event we re-signed our contract with MST Groep and reveiled their new logo on our car! They will continue to support us with the challenges that arise with our technological innovation in relation to safety, homologation and complex project management. With their knowledge on optimizing complex projects in the mobility industry, they have proved to be a valuable partner in pushing the boundaries of electric racing! In addition to their consulting role, MST Groep provides us with a yearly training on their methodology of Lean Engineering. This enables us to accelerate the development of our innovating technology, whilst limiting crucial risks. 📷 Thank you RAI Automotive Industry NL for the hospitality and excellent communication during last week! Looking back at The Challenge: In Motion!🍿📽 Two weeks ago we hosted an event for all partners titled: 'The Challenge: In Motion'. At the event, we premiered our documentary which tells a story of unexpected setbacks, managing expectations, keeping motivation, and the importance of team building. In the video, we gave a behind-the-scenes look into the past year and showed everything that happens in the background and is crucial for the project's progression. Follow our socials to get a glimpse of the documentary soon! 🤩 Next to the documentary, we had a panel discussion with our host Peter Ruijten - Dodoiu, Technical Manager Luuk van Sundert, and Partnership Manager Kai de Kievit in which we answered all kinds of heartfelt questions about the documentary, the big challenges and important accomplishments of our year. 💪 Last but not least was a uniquely interesting talk by former Formula 1 Engineer Peter Wezenbeek called ‘What could possibly go wrong?’. In his story, he told about what it is like to work in a fast-paced competitive technical environment and how things never go the way you expect them to, even when you think you have it all figured out. 💡 As this also marks the end of the year for the current team we were so happy to see so many partners at the event to proudly display what we did this year.
