Over the course of a three day training in Amsterdam and The Hague, our panels will dive into critical topics, such as: ⚖️ Compensatory and Reparative Mechanisms: Discussions on the complexities and lessons learnt from international reparations in light of experiences stemming from global precedents within countries like Colombia, Iraq, and the Balkans. The session shall consider what meaningful reparations can look like within a Ukrainian context. 📜 Register of Damage for Ukraine: An essential session on how Ukraine is documenting and addressing war-related damage, covering the RD4U initiative and the claims process for survivors. 💼 International Mechanisms & Repurposing of Frozen Assets: An insight into the role of international courts and the potential repurposing of frozen assets to aid victims. This includes perspectives on initiatives by the International Criminal Court, recent EU developments, and updates from key organisations. These panels represent a significant step forward in building a global legal framework that upholds the rights of victims of aggression and creates sustainable avenues for justice. Join us as we support survivors and work toward accountability, transparency, and healing.
