Westlake Epoxy Joins B4 Consortium in Western North Brabant. Region seeks to become hotspot for bio-based building blocks for the construction industry. Over the next three years, 11 innovative partners, led by TNO will collaborate to turn local tree and plant residues into green building blocks. From grass to glue, from sugar beet pulp to paint or from wood chips to insulation foam are examples of what the B4 project – Better Bio-based Building Blocks - envisions. These building blocks not only make products for the construction industry more sustainable, but also provide scratch resistance, flame retardancy or ultraviolet (UV) resistance. Westlake Epoxy plays a key role in project Consortium B4, aiming to explore the replacement of fossil fuel-based feedstock with a bio-based feedstock for the production of epoxy resins. 🌍✨ Yesterday was International Day of Charity and we like to reflect that by looking back at our most recent community service. ✨🌍 On 27 August, we had the privilege of doing something special for the families of children admitted to Sophia Children's Hospital in Rotterdam. Our team of enthusiastic volunteers diligently prepared and served a delicious lunch at the Ronald McDonald House Sophia. It was a very successful day that gave us great satisfaction to be able to mean something for these families. We will gladly be there again next year! A special thank you to our wonderful team: Bram Schoenmaker, Cees Pieters, Rene van der Heide, Marcel Aten, Giovanni De Mas, Elly Balk, Raquel Pico Duboy and Nanette van Teijlingen.
