Next week, 7Waves will be heading to WindEnergy Hamburg. We look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and make new acquaintances as we all collaborate on innovative solutions to address the increasing energy demand. If you’d like to learn about the range of services we provide in the offshore wind industry, including seafastening design, hull strength documentation, hydrodynamic analyses, mechanical design, mobilization and follow-up, please feel free to reach out to Patrick Bratlie or Olav Ingvaldsen Bengtson.
Om oss
7Waves is an independent Norwegian engineering company, specializing in naval architecture and marine engineering. The firm was established in 2012 in Son, and in 2021 the Oslo branch-office opened in Bjørvika, Oslo. The company’s past and ongoing involvements include work with traditional marine structures such as FPSOs and semi-submersibles, as well as newer structural concepts related to offshore fish farming and offshore wind energy. Characteristic to the tightly knit collective that constitutes 7Waves is its proficient use of the DNV software package Sesam. This expert application of software combined with comprehensive experience enable the 7Waves team to solve most challenging structural problems at sea with flexibility and efficiency.

7Waves is excited to support students who love waves and the ocean as much as we do! 🌊 We wish Steinbiten III and the students at the Department of Marine Technology (IMT) - NTNU a great season, and lots of happy sailing ⛵⚓ Good luck with the upcoming exams!

Three times and it’s officially a tradition! 7Waves participated for the third time at Holmenkollstafetten 2024, the largest relay race in Oslo, with 4800 teams participating. ☀ Such a great day, and tremendous effort from everyone on the team! We are also proud to have improved our statistics from the previous years 😎

For several years, 7Waves has been utilizing 3D printing technology to create models of the structures we design. In 2024, we upgraded our 3D printing capabilities with the installation of a Stratasys F770 printer, enabling us to produce larger models. Now, we have the capacity to print models measuring up to 1000x600x600 mm in size! 😎 Our mechanical team can offer targeted prototyping services for any structure or component, facilitating more efficient iteration and refinement of designs. Do you have a project in mind that could benefit from 3D printing technology? Whether you could use a model of a specific component, a conceptual model, or a replica of your office building, don't hesitate to reach out to us! 🌊 #3dprinting #prototyping #oceantechnology Protech - Industrial 3D Printing Solutions

In 7Waves, we encourage our young engineers to visit the load out sites after the completion of an offshore wind project. Such visits contribute to a greater understanding of the scope and size (!) of the components and seafastening on board. In addition, it is exciting and motivating to physically see a 7Waves design supporting the WTG components on their way to the field. We are always grateful for clients that welcome us on board their vessels 😊 #offshorewind #renewableenergy
