🌟 Great news for school indoor air quality 🌟 💸 The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced $34 million in grants shared between the University of Utah, the American Lung Association, the New York State Department of Health & Health Research, the Go Green Initiative, and the Center for Green Schools. The funding aims to improve IAQ in schools and address the wider challenges that air pollution causes in some communities. 🏫 Why does this matter? Good IAQ in schools can help to improve student performance by supporting better concentration and cognitive ability, while reducing sick-days and relieving some of the burden that poor air quality places on low-income communities. I’m proud to share that Airthings reported a solid growth in the second quarter, driven by increasing cunsumer demand that exceeded even our most optimistic expectations💫 This demonstrates that our products and solutions meet the needs of people seeking better indoor air quality🌬 As in the first quarter, sales in the Business segment lagged due to challenging market conditions and order postponements. The two-folded outcome and insights gained during the first half of 2024 prompted a strategy review and our decision to prioritize activities that ensures the best return on investment. Moving forward, Airthings will focus on one, united value proposition; health driven indoor air quality, across market segments. Building control will be offered through partners, and proactive sales to non-scalable business customer segments will be halted. We aim to reach profitability for the second half of next year by growing revenues and reducing cost. I’m grateful for having a strong and open-minded team who adapts new mindsets, work processes, and organizational structures to capitalize on both market trends and new business opportunities💛 Our job is to provide clean air for people at home, at school and at work. It’s an important job, and we couldn’t be more ready to take it on💪 See highlights in the video below👇
