The day was filled with post-it notes, lively discussions, and plenty of ideas, as we worked toward a shared goal: prioritizing and setting a clear direction for the future. With defined focus areas and action points, we’re ready to drive relevant growth, boost engagement, and strengthen Energy Valley’s foundation for 2025 and beyond. — A big thanks to all the participants! 🌍 Future Energy Leaders meeting: US politics and the upcoming election 🇺🇸   Today at Aker Tech House, the Future Energy Leaders gathered to hear insights from Eirik Bergesen, a leading expert in US politics and host of the podcast "Det store bildet." With the US election fast approaching, Eirik shared his perspectives on the key issues at stake and the potential outcomes.   📊🗳️ Kamala Harris vs. Donald Trump – the race is on, but as Eirik reminded us, we shouldn’t get lost in the polls. Comparing himself to a football commentator, he explained how he can spot trends but can’t predict the final result. However, he offered some interesting reflections on what it means when cultural icons like Taylor Swift endorse Kamala. 🌟   Key takeaways: • We live in an age of uncertainty – the only certainty is uncertainty itself. • Populism, polarization, and post-truth define the political landscape – and unfortunately, the bad guys often seem to be winning. • We are very different from Americans, and this election underscores those differences. • This could be the most important election ever, with profound implications for global energy policy and geopolitics. The outcome will have critical importance for our future. • Even extreme events, like Trump being shot, will not be a decisive factor. As Eirik humorously put it, nothing really matters – or at least not as much as we think. Despite this, Eirik left us with hope. History has shown that things can turn around, and politics is about more than just numbers; it’s about values and ideas. 🌱✨   The discussions were followed by a networking lunch where the future leaders connected with key players in Energy Valley.

Energy Valley and ABB are excited to invite you to an exclusive breakfast seminar focused on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), taking place on 14 November!
